Ladbrokes Poker Players, from the UK and Ireland, have the chance to win a share in a high-class racehorse. It was bought by our crack team of bloodstock experts at the Goff Orby Million Yearling Sales and will be running in the 2006 Flat Season. All prize money will be shared out between shareholders. The more shares you win, the more prize money you receive, and the more selling on fee you get at the end of the year.
The beautifully bred animal cost €110,000. He is a grey son of ‘Stravinsky’, a great sprinter trained by Aiden O’Brien, which won the July Cup in 2000. The dam is Lady in Waiting by Woodman.
The horse will be aimed at the inaugural 2006 Goffs Million two year old race, with €1,000,000 to the winner, to be held at the Curragh next September. This race is exclusively for horses purchased at the prestigious Goff Orby Sales.
All training fees and other costs for one year are covered, and at the end of this period the horse will be sold – even if it’s the winter favorite for the Derby! Shares in the horse, which includes the value we bought him for plus stable, trainer and vet fees, is $1,000 each and there are 200 shares up for grabs. The value of the shares incorporates Laddies Poker's potential stud value, in that when the horse is sold, this potential value will be realized. Breeding rights will not be retained by shareholders post the planned sale of Laddies Poker at the end of the 2006 Flat Season. The horse has been named ‘Laddies Poker’ and will run in Ladbrokes Poker’s famous white silks with red diamonds.
