Tournament overview
Concluding the 34-event 2025 Players Championship campaign, the top 64 players will be taking to the oche in Somerset in the fight for more silverware, with defending champion Luke Humphries looking to retain his title for the third year in a row - becoming only the second player to win this event in three consecutive seasons.
Compared to last week's Grand Slam of Darts, this tournament will be said and done in the blink of an eye, with only two days between the tournament opener and the final. It all kicks off on Friday November 21, 2025, with an afternoon session and an evening session both being split across two stages. All 32 first-round games will be played on the same day, before the numbers are whittled down across rounds two and three on Saturday 22 November.
Sunday 23 November then sees the quarter-finals take place in the afternoon, before the semis and the highly-anticipated final bring the curtain down in the evening. With this being the last event before the big one at the end of the year, players will be hoping it is the perfect preparation for Worlds - so expect high quality darts and a real competitive nature to the matches.
The favourites
In his first appearance since becoming world number one in Wolverhampton last week, Luke Littler - one of the favourites to win the 2025 Sports Personality of the Year Award - enters the Ladbrokes Players Championship Finals as the favourite to win yet another PDC title, with reigning champion Luke Humphries second-favourite to continue his dominance at this event.
Number-one seeded Gerwyn Price comes next in the bookies' odds, with World Youth Championship finalist Gian van Veen also given an excellent chance of going all the way. Josh Rock, Stephen Bunting, and Danny Noppert are also tipped to have strong events by the bookies, but it's the teenager Littler who's backed to lift a second trophy in as many weeks.
