After guiding Chelsea back into the Champions League and to Club World Cup glory, Cole Palmer is now 33/1 with Ladbrokes according to the latest Ballon d'Or odds.

The Chelsea talisman was 66/1 to pick up the prize before his star turn against Paris Saint-Germain on July 13th's Club World Cup final. His new odds mean he’s the sixth-favourite for the award.

Palmer’s opposite number on Sunday, Ousmane Dembele, is heavily odds-on to win the Ballon d’Or at 1/6. The Frenchman was integral in PSG's Champions League campaign, helping his side win the competition with important goals against the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal.

Rodri pipped Vinicius to the post and won the 2024 Ballon d'Or at the ceremony on October 28, and the latest odds suggest the Real Madrid man is going to miss out on the award again this year.

In fact, Vini had such a poor 2024/25 season compared to what he did in 2023/24 that Ladbrokes isn't even offering odds on the Brazilian winger to win the Ballon d'Or later on this year.

His team mate, Kylian Mbappe, does feature in the top seven, but he's a serious outsider. The Frenchman's assumed probability of winning the Ballon d'Or stands at just 2%, with his chances certainly not helped by the fact Los Blancos didn't win the Champions League, Club World Cup or La Liga.

Along with the aforementioned Yamal and Dembele, Liverpool star Mohamed Salah and Raphinha are the only other names with odds shorter than 20/1, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia rounding out the top five at that price.

Mbappe is priced with the longest odds (50/1) with Ladbrokes, with the bookies feeling that the ex-PSG man may have to wait for a more successful season with his club and country before being regarded as the best player in the world.
