It is all to play for in Newcastle's Champions League last-16 tie with Barcelona following a 1-1 draw in the first leg at St James' Park last week.

The Magpies will head to the Camp Nou for the second leg on Wednesday with progression to the quarter-finals still very much up for grabs but they will rue the fact they are not ahead in the tie after Lamine Yamal's 96th-minute penalty denied them what would have been a deserved victory on Tyneside.

Instead, it is all square for the second leg with Barca crucially now holding the home advantage, making them the bookies' favourites to win on the night and advance.

Teenage star Yamal's penalty at the death has tipped the scales back in Barca's favour for the second leg after being second-best for much of the first leg and he will undoubtedly be the man for the Toon to keep quiet in Catalonia.

The 18-year-old is averaging 1.3 shots on target per game in the competition this season, and we are tipping him to better that slightly with at least two on goal.

Anthony Gordon should once again assume a central role in attack and will be in confident mood after scoring the only goal in Newcastle's 1-0 win at Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday.

The England international was not fit enough to start last week's game on Tyneside but has been in sensational form in the Champions League this term with 10 goals and two assists. We think Gordon will be the Magpies' biggest threat on Wednesday night.

Newcastle proved last week just how much they can cause problems for Barca and will no doubt go to the Camp Nou with the aim of taking the game to the LaLiga giants. Barca's defence has shown its vulnerability on plenty of occasions this season, with the hosts yet to keep a clean sheet and both teams scoring in all but one of their Champions League games this term.

While we think Hansi Flick's side may just edge the tie, we are fully expecting both sides to get on the scoresheet in what could be an entertaining game.

Last season's semi-finalists looked pretty ordinary at times last week but they have the experience and know-how in these situations to get the results they need, just as last week showed - even if it was slightly fortunate.
