Limerick Star – 2.00 Uttoxeter
This is a horse trained by Philip Hobbs and Johnson White. He is a novice hurdler who had three runs and has always been placed. He is a very likeable sort who runs his race every time. There are a couple in there with a similar mark to him so hopefully he can run the same sort of run he’s done the last few times and I think he will be bang in there.
As Legends Have It – 3.08 Uttoxeter
He finally got a ride the last day over fences around Stratford. He is one that jumps really well but isn’t the quickest. If he gets into the same sort of rhythm as he did around Stratford, then he should have a very good chance. He schooled well this morning, and he is fresh and well, and he has a good chance.
Bank On Frank - 3.45 Uttoxeter
I ride Bank On Frank for Ben Pauling. He did it very nicely the last day around Southwell, he jumped like a buck, and he is probably my best chance of the day.
Goshhowposh – 4.20 Uttoxeter
This is another for Philip Hobbs and Johnson White. He was very good in his novice campaign and then had a couple of injuries and lost his way a little bit. He had a little run around Newbury the last time out just to have a run under his belt. He has blinkers on and hopefully he can show the promise he displayed early doors.
Baron Du Brizais – 4.55 Uttoxeter
This is a lovely horse who won his point-to-point in Wales. They like him a lot at home and he can definitely gallop. Ben Pauling has a nice strike rate in the bumper ranks and hopefully he can put it together and run a decent race in the bumper. I have a nice book of rides, and I am very much looking forward to the day.
