Inter Milan to beat Liverpool
Liverpool experienced more disappointment in the Premier League on Saturday, letting their lead slip in a 3-3 draw at Leeds and with a Champions League trip to the San Siro to face last year's finalists Inter Milan, things might not get much easier.
Inter are currently challenging for the Serie A title and have been pretty impressive in the league phase so far. With the Nerazzurri possessing plenty of threat, we are predicting another defeat for Arne Slot's men.
Real Madrid to beat Man City
Real Madrid and Manchester City renew their modern-day Champions League rivalry after serving up a host of classics in the latter stages in recent years - but this time they meet in the league phase.
Real ran out comfortable winners in last season's knockout round play-offs and City will have some scores to settle as a result - but a trip to the Bernabeu is never easy in this competition.
After a shock 2-0 defeat to Celta Vigo in LaLiga at the weekend, Los Blancos will be determined to put things right and we think they may still have a psychological edge over Pep Guardiola's men - and will edge this one as a result.
Newcastle to draw away at Bayer Leverkusen
Newcastle are the third Premier League side to have a difficult away trip ahead of them in the Champions League as they visit Bayer Leverkusen.
The Magpies currently sit above the Bundesliga side in the standings but will still be reeling from their defeat in Marseille last time out. Despite being underwhelming domestically, they have looked much better in Europe and we think they could walk away with a respectable point from the BayArena.
Arsenal to beat Club Brugge
The final pick of our Champions League acca is Arsenal's away game against Club Brugge, where we think the Gunners will return to winning ways after Saturday's dramatic late defeat to Aston Villa.
Belgian side Brugge have impressed in Europe in recent years, reaching last season's round of 16 before taking points off Barcelona in this year's league phase.
Still, with the Gunners now the favourites for the competition after winning all five of their league-phase matches, they should have no problems maintaining their place at the top of the table by securing another three points.
