Chelsea have endured a difficult spell, but Stamford Bridge offers Xabi Alonso’s side a chance to reset. Bournemouth have drawn three of their opening five league games and remain without a win, while Chelsea have avoided defeat in each of the last eight top-flight meetings between the teams. The hosts’ greater attacking quality makes Chelsea or draw a sensible pick for the Bet Builder.
Chelsea have scored 10 goals in five Premier League matches, but they have also conceded 12 and are yet to keep a league clean sheet this season. Bournemouth have found the net in four of their five outings and have conceded in every game. Neither defence has offered much protection, making goals at both ends an interesting bet to consider.
Rogers has made an immediate impact since joining Chelsea, scoring three times in five Premier League starts. The England international has attempted 15 shots and registered five on target, including at least one in four of his five league appearances. With Bournemouth conceding in every league game, Rogers should have opportunities to test Petrovic.
Alex Scott’s injury leaves Bournemouth short in midfield and could bring Cook into the starting XI. Cook has come off the bench in Bournemouth's last three matches, with two fouls and one yellow card in those games. More time on the pitch against Chelsea’s mobile attacking midfielders could draw him into more defensive work.
