Damian Lewis’ odds slashed to be next Bond, James, Bond

A flurry of bets has seen Damian Lewis’ odds drastically cut from 50/1 down to 8s to be given the lead role in the next James Bond movie.

Tom Hiddleston still remains the favourite, but after starting the day as a 50/1 long shot, Lewis’ name can’t be ignored in the hunt for Daniel Craig’s successor.

Cillian Murphy and Richard Madden are joint second-favourites for the role at 4/1, with Idris Elba, James Norton and Tom Hardy all coming in ahead of Lewis in the running

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “We’ve seen some serious interest in Damian Lewis over the last few hours and have slashed odds accordingly on him playing Bond.”
