Dan Skelton Friday runners schedule
Sinnatra - Newbury - 12.15 race odds
Tralee Girl - Newbury - 1.15 race odds
Heltenham - Newbury - 2.25 race odds
Take No Chances - Newbury - 3.00 race odds
Blue Carpet - Newbury - 3.35 race odds
Newbury 12.15 – Sinnatra
We start in a maiden hurdle with Sinnatra. He ran really well at the track the last day. He finished second and we were delighted with that. He will need to step forward as this is a good race but I think he has a chance.
Newbury 1.15 – Tralee Girl
We run a nice mare here called Tralee Girl. She was third in a listed race at Wetherby on her debut. She loves her jumping and you would think she’ll improve. She has stepped forward from what we have seen at home. However this is a much deeper race with all the best 3-yo-mares turning up so it’ll be a good race.
Newbury 2.25 – Heltenham
Heltenham runs in a handicap chase. He is good around the track. He ran nicely the last day and should step forward from that. I would imagine he has a real squeak but again we are in a very competitive race. He likes the track and will have no excuses.
Newbury 3.00 – Take No Chances
Take No Chances runs in the Long Distance Hurdle. She was second last time to Olly Murphy’s horse Strong Leader who we reoppose again here. She gets 7lbs being a mare. She ran very well the last day and she deserves her place in the line-up. We will have to try something different to try and beat Strong Leader. I'll leave it to Harry [Skelton] tactically and see how he can get the better of him. He is one of the best around in the UK at the trip so we have a lot of respect for him and others in this race. It is probably the strongest renewal of the race in years. I think we will be competitive.
Newbury 3.35 - Blue Carpet
Blue Carpet runs in a three-mile handicap hurdle and that distance should be where his future lies. It is obviously a fair step up in trip though, and it’s his first time in a handicap. I hope he can run really well and there is no reason he shouldn’t. He will appreciate the step up but whether he can do it all at once is a different matter.
