Don’t Stop Him Now: Rami Malek clear favourite for Best Actor Oscar

Rami Malek is now odds-on for Oscars glory after being named Best Actor at the Golden Globes.

The Bohemian Rhapsody star is now just 4/7 to win the Best Actor gong at the Oscars next month.

He’s now the clear favourite with our traders. Christian Bale is second in the betting at 9/4. Long-time front-runner Bradley Cooper is 3/1 in third.

While Malek looks set for personal glory, Bohemian Rhapsody doesn’t seem to have much of a shot in the Best Picture race. It’s back at 8s, behind Roma (6/4), A Star is Born (5/2) and Green Book (5/1).

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “It’s looking increasingly likely Rami Malek’s exceptional performance as Freddie will see him pick up yet another Best Actor gong.”
