England to win

As noted, the team Tuchel lines up with on Friday night definitely won't be the one fans see in June in England's World Cup opener against Croatia.

Several key players are missing, with this friendly game expected to be one where Tuchel tries out various rotation players, hoping to whittle his squad down by nine players.

Despite that, England's second string XI still has heaps of quality, with the likes of Cole Palmer and Adam Wharton, amongst others, expected to play.

As such, and despite Uruguay being a hard-working, energetic outfit, we still think the Three Lions have enough to pick up a win.

Marcus Rashford to have at least one shot on target

One of the non-Premier League players selected by Tuchel to be part of the England squad this month is Marcus Rashford, with the Barcelona winger expected to cement his spot on the left-wing ahead of this summer's tournament in America.

Rashford has started 14 of his 24 appearances in La Liga this season, averaging just shy of 0.9 shots on target per game for his side this season. We expect him to test Uruguay with at least one attempt on goal on Friday night.

We're not only tipping the Man United youth academy graduate to start this week, but also to be heavily involved across the game.

Over 2.5 goals to be scored

We're tipping an England win on Friday night in what we're also predicting to be a high-scoring game, with over 2.5 goals being scored across the course of it.

50% of England's last six matches have seen three or more goals scored, but with key defenders Ezri Konsa and Marc Guehi not featuring, we think the Three Lions may actually concede en route to victory.

While we do think England have enough to emerge victorious, we don't think it'll be plain sailing, which explains our over 2.5 goals to be scored selection as the third leg of our England vs Uruguay bet builder.

Manuel Ugarte to be carded

Starting for England is expected to be Kobbie Mainoo and Adam Wharton, two technical midfielders who have a knack for drawing fouls in the Premier League this season.

Wharton and Mainoo have been fouled 1 and 0.7 times respectively in the Premier League, and the pair are coming up against Manuel Ugarte, a man who isn't exactly shy when it comes to getting stuck in.

Ugarte has only started seven Premier League games this season, picking up one yellow card. However, the former Sporting Lisbon midfielder picked up a yellow card every other start when playing last season more regularly.

Across his 16 appearances in World Cup qualifying, Ugarte picked up five yellow cards. That data should explain why Ladbrokes is tipping the Uruguayan to pick up a card as the final leg of our England vs Uruguay bet builder.
