Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua: Predictions & fight odds
Ladbrokes previews Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua
AJ heavy favourite to win
First round victory for Brit predicted
Boxing and the internet have collided again as Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua are set to square off in the ring, and Ladbrokes shares its odds and predictions for the huge fight in Miami on December 19, 2025.
The boxing world was shocked when, on November 17, it was announced that Joshua vs Paul would take place streamed live on Netflix. AJ, a two-time world heavyweight champion whose last fight was a title defeat to Daniel Dubois in September 2024, has surprised many be electing to fight YouTuber Paul, whose biggest bout came against the legendary Mike Tyson in November last year.

Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua fight odds
Anthony Joshua the heavy favourite for Jake Paul fight
Anthony Joshua may not be the lights-out heavyweight that he once was, but he's seen by the bookies as the undisputed front-runner in his fight with YouTuber Jake Paul. Looking at the outright fight betting, AJ is a heavy favourite at 1/9. In one of the most lopsided boxing events in recent history, Jake Paul continues to be backed around the world and is now 6/1 to beat former Olympic and world heavyweight champion, while 20/1 says the pair draw.
And, worryingly for AJ, at 6/1, Jake Paul is priced shorter than Andy Ruiz Jr was to beat the former heavyweight champ back in 2019 (9/1) - with punters cross the globe seemingly convinced boxing's biggest upset could well be on the cards.
Joshua has a professional record of 28-4, with 25 of those wins coming via knockout. That's the most likely method of victory at odds of 2/7, with it 9/2 for AJ to win on points, but the Briton would seemingly be embarrassed to let the fight go the distance. Paul is odds of 12/1 to win by either decision or knockout.
Plenty believe AJ will get the job done early, and at 7/1, he's almost as likely to win their upcoming bout within a minute as Jake Paul is to win the fight overall (6/1).
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "It's Disney vs Goliath this weekend, and all the signs point towards a routine, comfortable win for Anthony Joshua - with plenty of punters even convinced he'll get the job done inside 60 seconds."
Anthony Joshua vs Jake Paul prediction
On paper, this really couldn't be a bigger mismatch. Joshua is one of the greatest heavyweights of his generation, even if not quite in the elite tier of boxers, a former two-time world heavyweight champion and Olympic gold medallist. AJ also won his previous exhibition fight against MMA star Francis Ngannou with a devastating second-round knockout.
Jake is a huge social media star, which is undoubtedly why this fight has been booked. However, he's certainly no slouch in the ring. Paul has won 12 of his 13 fights, with his only loss coming to Tommy Fury, another fighter who dabbles in both the reality TV and boxing circles. Despite that impressive record, it'd be hugely surprising to see anything other than a convincing win for Joshua.
