Is Ismailia Sarr now representing Senegal at AFCON, the door has well and truly opened for Nketiah to begin getting meaningful minutes for Palace, both in the Premier League and Conference League.

That is expected to kick off tonight, with Palace hosting KuPS in the Conference League, where we're expecting the ex-Arsenal man to start, and have a big impact in the process.

Nketiah is averaging 1.3 shots on target from each game from an average of 2.5 shots in Europe this season, and we're expecting him to top that against the Finnish outfit tonight.

Expect Palace to dominate the ball, and while they do sometimes struggle not being the side on the counter, Nketiah is likely to on the receiving end or more chances than usual.

The Englishman will likely see this as a big opportunity for him. With Sarr out on international duty and the long-term future of Jean-Philippe Mateta unclear, Nketiah has the opportunity to make a claim for a regular starting spot.

The striker has started just one of Palace's Conference League games, mainly due to injury, but he averages over one shot a game in the matches has he played in the competition so far.

Nketiah's only start in the Conference League so far came off the left in Palace's 3-0 away win at Shelbourne last week, where he managed to register three shots on target.

The sample size may not be the biggest, there's no getting away from that. However, when Nketiah starts in Europe against weaker opposition, he does find himself challenging the goalkeeper.

With odds of 5/6 too, the bookies clearly think there's a fairly decent chance this one comes in. There's no guarantee, but a £10 stake returning over £18 could represent decent value.
