Day eight of Ladbrokes' Festive Countdown looks at the final of Strictly Come Dancing, with the tip of a win for Karen Carney.

Day seven's tip was for Angry Ginge to win I'm a Celeb 2025, and that came in, so it only makes sense for Ladbrokes to stick to reality TV when it comes to the day eight bet.

As such, we focus on Strictly Come Dancing, with Carney given a huge boost ahead of next week's Strictly semi-final, according to Ladbrokes.

The former Lioness now heads the betting at 4/5, leapfrogging long-time favourite, George Clarke in the process.

For what it's worth, the bookies think it'll be just a two-horse race between the pair, with Amber Davies and Balvinder Sopal way out at 33/1 and 40/1 respectively.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: Karen's peaked at just the right time as far as the odds are concerned; George has done all the hard work up to this point, but the Lioness now looks set for a tap-in.

It's worth noting that Clarke has been the favourite with the bookies for some time, but a strong performance from Carney over the last few weeks have seen her become the front-runner to win the show on December 20.

There's no guarantee that Carney wins, with Clarke hot on her heels. However, a small punt with odds of 4/5 on Carney picking up the win could represents decent value and could end up coming in come the end of the month.
