  • Ladbrokes are tipping Reece James to claim another assist for Chelsea against Leeds on Wednesday

  • The Blues are expected to win away at Elland Road and score at least two goals

  • Ethan Ampadu is tipped to be shown a card in the game

Chelsea have a midweek trip to face relegation-threatened Leeds off the back of earning a respectable 1-1 draw with Premier League leaders Arsenal on Sunday.

The Blues impressed against their London rivals at Stamford Bridge despite playing much of the game with 10 men after Moises Caicedo's early red card and will be confident of securing a victory against the struggling Whites, who are tipped for relegation.

Despite losing again at the weekend at Manchester City, Leeds will take confidence from their spirited display in the 3-2 loss, which saw them rally back from two goals down before losing in heartbreaking fashion to a late Phil Foden goal.

Check out Ladbrokes' tips and predictions for your Leeds vs Chelsea bet builder, with kick-off scheduled for 8:15pm UK time on Wednesday.

Leeds vs Chelsea betting tips and predictions

Reece James to provide an assist

Plenty of Chelsea's players came in for credit during the spirited draw at Stamford Bridge but one player rose highest above the rest - captain Reece James.

The skipper has made the transition from right-back to central midfield look seamless and was undoubtedly the best player on the pitch against the Gunners, providing the assist for Trevoh Chalobah to open the scoring with a teasing corner.

With Moises Caicedo suspended, James is likely to assume a midfield role again and will also be on set-piece duty, allowing for plenty of chances to add to his four assists already this season.

Chelsea to score over 1.5 goals

Ladbrokes are expecting a confident Chelsea side to dominate the encounter in Yorkshire and should be good value to score at least twice, given their plethora of attacking stars.

Wednesday's game could even see star man Cole Palmer come back into the fold, having returned to the bench on Sunday. His team-mates have performed well in his absence and his return can only be good news for the West Londoners - and bad news for the struggling hosts.

Ethan Ampadu to be shown a card

Chelsea's disciplinary issues are well documented but we are actually going to select a Leeds player in the cards market for this game.

With much of Chelsea's creativity set to come from James and Enzo Fernandez in the centre of the park, Ethan Ampadu will be the man tasked with disrupting their rhythm in what should be a hostile atmosphere at Elland Road.

That opens the door for plenty of tactical fouls and gamesmanship and with four yellow cards already this season, the Welshman looks like the smart pick to go into the book once again.

Chelsea to win

Unsurprisingly, our final pick in the match betting market is to back Chelsea to get another three points.

While Daniel Farke may have bought himself some more time in his position as Leeds boss in their loss at the Etihad, it seems only a matter of time before they make a change as they remain one of the favourites for relegation.

Chelsea will have eyes on closing the gap on Arsenal at the top as they look to put themselves in title contention and will hope to have no issues securing a victory.
