  • This season could see a new F1 world champion for the first time since 2021

  • Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton have won seven titles each - a Formula One record

  • Ferrari drivers have won the most F1 World Championship titles, with 15

With the 2025 winner soon to be crowned, Ladbrokes takes a look at the exclusive list of drivers who have become F1 world champions.

From Giuseppe Farina winning the first ever Formula One World Championship with 30 points, to Max Verstappen and Red Bull's stronghold in the 2020s, F1 has seen 34 separate drivers lift the coveted trophy, with 17 of them being crowned world champion more than once.

Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton share the record with seven titles each, and it's the United Kingdom who boast the most F1 World Championships with 20. There could well be another on the way for the UK too, if Lando Norris can get the better of his McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri - who remains the favourite - but it's all to play for as the 2025 season enters its climax.
