Florian Wirtz and Dominik Szoboszlai provide two of the shooting angles in our four-leg Bet Builder

Liverpool welcome Manchester City to Anfield for a heavyweight Premier League meeting on Sunday afternoon. The hosts remain unbeaten after five league matches, but they face a City side which has taken maximum points so far.
This is also City’s first league match since the independent commission’s findings on the club’s financial-rule breaches were published. With an appeal under way, the focus on the visitors will extend well beyond the pitch. Our preview covers the team news, predicted line-ups and a four-leg Bet Builder centred on three player-shot selections and both teams to score.

Florian Wirtz is yet to hit top gear in a Liverpool shirt, but he has continued to find shooting positions. The Germany international has taken 12 shots across his first five Premier League appearances and is expected to operate behind the striker at Anfield. One attempt, either on or off target, is the opening leg of our Bet Builder.
Dominik Szoboszlai remains willing to try his luck even when starting in a deeper midfield role. He has already registered five shots on target in the league this season, while his ability from distance and set-pieces adds another route to goal. We are backing Szoboszlai to produce at least two attempts against City.
Erling Haaland has started the campaign with five goals from 20 Premier League shots, half of which have tested the goalkeeper. Liverpool have recorded three consecutive league clean sheets, but Haaland’s movement and City’s attacking control should still bring opportunities. Two or more attempts from the striker, who looks to have shaken off an injury concern while away with Norway, forms the third leg.
Liverpool have scored in four of their five league matches, while Man City have found the net in all five of theirs. City’s opening fixtures have produced 13 goals, but they conceded three against Sunderland last time out. Liverpool’s attacking threat at Anfield makes both teams to score an interesting final leg.
