Liverpool vs West Ham bet builder tips

Liverpool to beat West Ham

The first leg of our Liverpool vs West Ham bet builder is a match result prediction, with Ladbrokes' team of experts tipping Slot's men to leave Anfield with all three points.

Liverpool aren't having the season they wanted to be having, especially considering they're the reigning Premier League champions. The Reds, however, still have the chance to end things on a high note by securing top four (or five) football come the end of May.

Games like this one against West Ham will be vital for the Reds to win if they want to keep the pressure on their European rivals, and with Liverpool winning the reverse fixture 2-0, we expect them to have enough to beat the Hammers this weekend.

Both teams to score in Liverpool vs West Ham

Liverpool have only conceded three goals in their last six games in all competitions, with two of those coming against Manchester City at the beginning of February.

In fact, Liverpool have gone over 180 minutes of competitive football without conceding. However, we think that record is going to end this weekend.

West Ham have only failed to score in one of their last nine games, and that was their most recent Premier League outing, a 0-0 draw with Bournemouth. During that run, the Hammers have scored against some big teams too, including Chelsea and Man United.

While West Ham haven't got the results this season, they do tend to find the back of the net more often than not. So, we're tipping both teams to score at Anfield this weekend.

West Ham to score under 1.5 goals vs Liverpool

Despite what we just said about West Ham scoring, Liverpool have looked a lot better defensively recently. In fact, since the turn of the year, Ibrahima Konate has been one of the Reds standout players, with Virgil van Dijk shining as he so often does.

As such, while we are predicting West Ham will find the back of the net, our team of experts thinks they're only going to score one goal at Anfield this weekend.

There's evidence to back this prediction up too, with West Ham only having scored more than one goal in a game once this month, with that being against fellow relegation contenders Burnley on February 7.

Florian Wirtz to have one shot on target in Liverpool vs West Ham

Florian Wirtz, since December, has been one of Liverpool's most important players. The German appears to have gotten up to speed with the Premier League, and now has the physical capabilities to match his incredible technical quality.

Wirtz was a big miss against Nottingham Forest last week, but the German is expected to be fit to play against West Ham this weekend, and we're tipping him to register a shot on target in the game.

Wirtz is averaging 0.6 shots on target a game in the Premier League this season, but that data is somewhat skewed by his slow start to life on Merseyside.

Across his last three Premier League matches, Wirtz has registered three shots on target, and we're expecting him to test West Ham's goalkeeper again this weekend.

If Wirtz isn't passed fit and doesn't feature against West Ham this weekend, punters can easily swap this leg of the bet for a 'Dominik Szoboszlai shot on target' selection, with the Hungarian then likely to play as Liverpool's attacking midfielder.
