Man United THREE TIMES more popular than any other club to win Premier League, bookies say

MANCHESTER UNITED ARE STREETS AHEAD in the popularity charts to win this year's Premier League, according to the latest figures from Ladbrokes.

Despite finishing eighth in last year's table - 31 points off eventual winners, Manchester City, the bookies have revealed a staggering 29.9% of all outright bets placed so far this summer have been in favour of Erik ten Hag's men.

That puts them comfortably at the top of the pile in the popularity charts, almost three times as popular as the second best-backed team, Liverpool (10.7%).

Elsewhere, 9.7% of all outright bets up to this point favour Aston Villa, while Arsenal are fourth with 8.9% ahead of Man City (7.8%).

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "Last season's FA Cup final was an indication of what could potentially be to come for Manchester United this season... and plenty of punters are seemingly convinced this could well be their year."
