Manchester United to win

Man Utd are yet to lose since Michael Carrick took interim charge of his former club, with an impressive five wins from his six games so far, including victories over Manchester City and Arsenal. The feel-good factor has returned to Old Trafford, and we're predicting that will continue against a Palace side where the mood has nosedived since manager Oliver Glasner announced he would be departing at the end of the season. The Eagles are still favourites to win the Conference League, but have dropped to 13th in the Premier League. Palace have actually won on their previous two trips to Old Trafford, but we think that streak will end here, with the Red Devils recording a comfortable 2-0 victory.

Benjamin Sesko to score anytime

It's taken a while for Benjamin Sesko to settle at Manchester United after his big-money move in the summer, but he's starting to show his worth after five goals in his past six league games. Three of those goals have come off the bench, and he's actually yet to start a game under Michael Carrick, but we reckon he could be unleashed from the start after grabbing a crucial winner at Everton to continue United's charge for a Champions League place. The Slovenian striker is becoming increasingly clinical in front of goal, and we're tipping him to find the back of the net here again.

Will Hughes to be carded

Will Hughes is a consistent and reliable option for Glasner and has established a fine midfield pairing with Adam Wharton, with both possessing technical quality and off-the-ball nous. Hughes can be a feisty customer at times, picking up eleven bookings last season, and despite being in and out of the team has collected six yellow cards in 2025/26. The 30-year-old has been booked in each of his last two starts, and against the likes of Bruno Fernandes - hardly the Pope himself - we could see him getting booked again at Old Trafford.

Luke Shaw to commit 1+ foul

Luke Shaw has enjoyed a rare injury-free season for Manchester United in 2025/26, starting every Premier League game to date. A return to the England squad isn't out of the question if he maintains his fitness and increasingly good form, with left-back a perennial problem position for the national team. In recent weeks, he's replicated his partnership with Harry Maguire, who's started the last six games at the back alongside him.

For all those positives, we're actually going for Shaw to commit one or more fouls for the last leg of our Man Utd vs Crystal Palace bet builder. That selection has landed in each of the last five matches, with Shaw committing a foul in 85% of his games this season. With Palace looking to sit deep and counter, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Shaw bring someone down at least once.
