A move to the Saudi Pro League or MLS is on the cards for Mohamed Salah after announcing his departure from Liverpool, according to the Egyptian's next club odds.

The Liverpool forward announced on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 that he would be departing Anfield at the end of the season after nine successful years at the club which have cemented him as one of their and the Premier League's greatest ever players.

With attention now turning to his next move, the bookies see any side in the Saudi Pro League or MLS as the two potential contenders with odds of 5/6 each.

Salah will bring to an end a legendary period at Liverpool this summer which has seen him win countless trophies and score 255 goals in 435 games for the club, putting him third in their all-time scorers.

The 33-year-old signed a new two-year deal in April 2025 before going on to help them win the Premier League but the 2025/26 season has been less successful for him and the Reds as a whole, with his potential exit appearing to be a possibility for some time.

Finally confirming his upcoming departure on Tuesday evening, Salah said:

Unfortunately the day has come. This is the first part of my farewell. I will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season.

"Leaving is never easy. You gave me the best time of my life, I will be always one of you. The club will always be my home, to me and to my family.

"Thank you for everything. Because of all of you I will never walk alone.

Salah now looks set to depart European football as a whole, with only two potential destinations considered by the bookies when it comes to his next move.

A move to Saudi Arabia, which the forward has been strongly linked with before, is one of those options, with Ladbrokes pricing a move to any club in the Saudi Pro League at 5/6.

But a switch to the USA is also thought to be an equally likely option, with a move to any MLS club priced the same at 5/6.
