Xabi Alonso is the favourite to become Chelsea's next permanent manager following Liam Rosenior's sacking
The ex-Real Madrid boss held talks with the Chelsea hierarchy about taking over
Andoni Iraola is the most likely alternative with Filipe Luis and Marco Silva outsiders

*** UPDATE *** - Chelsea have confirmed the appointment of Xabi Alonso as their new manager, with the former Liverpool midfielder taking over at Stamford Bridge on July 1, 2026.
Ladbrokes brings you the next Chelsea manager odds, with Xabi Alonso emerging as the odds-on favourite to replace Liam Rosenior as their next permanent boss.
Recent reports suggest the former Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen manager has held talks with the Blues hierarchy over the vacant role, which has seen his odds in the market dramatically slash.
The Blues parted ways with Rosenior only 106 days after appointing him following a 3-0 defeat to Brighton, which was their fifth straight Premier League loss to leave them well off the pace in the race for Champions League qualification.
Andoni Iraola was the previous favourite for the Chelsea job ahead of his confirmed departure from Bournemouth at the end of this season, but news of Alonso's interest has caused a dramatic shift in the market.
The ex-Liverpool midfielder is now just 2/7 to make the shock move to Stamford Bridge, with Iraola still the nearest alternative at 9/2.
Ex-Chelsea defender Filipe Luis and Fulham boss Marco Silva lead the outsiders at 10/1, with outgoing Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner priced at 12/1.
Two more former players Cesc Fabregas and Frank Lampard are further back at 20/1, alongside ex-Barcelona manager Xavi, with Diego Simeone and Luis Enrique available at 25/1.
