Chelsea vs Arsenal odds: Premier League betting tips and predictions
Eberechi Eze 1+ shots on target
Boyhood Arsenal fan Eberechi Eze had a day of his dreams last weekend when scoring a hat-trick in the Gunners' 4-1 derby win over Spurs. Eze has given Mikel Arteta's side a new creative attacking spark in midfield since his arrival from Crystal Palace in the summer, especially with Martin Odegaard out injured in recent weeks. The 27-year-old is averaging 1.27 shots on target per game in the Premier League this season, and at 8/13 we're backing him to land another in our bet builder.
Both teams to score
Chelsea have scored in every single competitive game since a 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace on the opening day of the season, while Arsenal's only shutout was during a 1-0 loss at Anfield back in August - how long ago does that feel? The Gunners defence has been imperious but is without a clean sheet in three games and still without Gabriel, while Chelsea have scored three in each of their last two home games. The attacking firepower on display with the likes of Eze, Saka, Estevao and Pedro means we reckon it's likely both teams get on the scoresheet.
Enzo Fernandez to be carded
Enzo Fernandez is starting to blossom into the all-action midfielder Chelsea hoped they signed when they spent over £100million on him, and he's currently their joint top-scorer in the league with four goals. The Argentinian is however occasionally prone to letting his emotions get the better of him, and though he only has two yellow cards (also joint-highest for Chelsea), he has committed at least one foul in each of the last five Premier League games. In what should be a fiercely contested derby, we're tipping Enzo to get booked.
Match to end in a draw
Enzo Maresca's Chelsea are far from the finished article, but have tended to rise to the occasion in big games, as shown in their win over Barcelona and their scintillating display in the Club World Cup final against PSG. Home losses to Brighton and Sunderland this season continue to frustrate, but this game certainly falls into the big match category.
Arsenal are six points clear at the top of the table and favourites for both the Premier League and Champions League, with consecutive emphatic wins against Tottenham and Bayern raising excitement to fever pitch. Their last away trip saw them drop points with a last-gasp equaliser at Sunderland, but they appear far more consistent than their nearest rivals. However, we think they could drop points again here. The last two meetings at Stamford Bridge between these two have ended in a draw, and that's what we're predicting to happen again.
