Predicting how every Premier League team will line up in 2025/26
Published:
The 2025-26 Premier League season is fast approaching with a number of clubs making some eye-catching signings ahead of the new campaign.
The likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City have all been busy bolstering their squads this summer with plenty more moves still set to be done, meaning clubs will have a fresh look to them once the season kicks off on August 15.
Here, Ladbrokes predicts the starting XI of every Premier League club.
Premier League 2025/26 predicted line-ups
Arsenal
Arsenal have made six signings during an impressive transfer window so far, with Viktor Gyokeres joining Noni Madueke, Christhian Mosquera, Christian Norgaard, Martin Zubimendi and Kepa Arrizabalaga at the Emirates.
Gyokeres and Madueke should go straight into the attack alongside Bukayo Saka, with Zubimendi marshalling the midfield alongside Declan Rice. The potential signing of Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace would boost what is a strong squad even further.
Former Brentford captain Norgaard will provide midfield cover from the bench, as will Mosquera behind what is a settled back four.
Arsenal predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly; Zubimendi, Rice; Saka, Odegaard, Eze; Gyokeres
Aston Villa
Aston Villa are yet to make a significant addition to their squad, with backup goalkeeper Marco Bizot and young defender Yacin Ozkan unlikely to trouble the starting XI straight away.
That said, last season's arrivals Amadou Onana, Ian Maatsen and Donyell Malen are all primed for more of a regular role under Unai Emery, with midfielder Boubacar Kamara continuing to dominate the heart of midfield after signing a new five-year contract.
A key change could still be in the goalkeeping position, with Emiliano Martinez continuing to be linked with a move away as Manchester United target the Argentine as well as striker Ollie Watkins.
The Villans have also recently been linked with free agent Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who they will hope will play back up to Watkins, rather than replace him.
Aston Villa predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Martinez; Cash, Konsa, Torres, Maatsen; Kamara, Tielemans; Malen, Rogers, McGinn; Watkins
Bournemouth
Bournemouth have lost Dean Huijsen, Milos Kerkez and Kepa this summer but have acted quick to replace the vacant keeper and left-back slot with Djordje Petrovic from Chelsea and Adrien Truffert from Rennes.
The Cherries, who we have tipped to push for Europe again in 2025/26, are reportedly in danger of losing another centre-back in Illya Zabarnyi, making reinforcements at the back a priority - with Jhon Lucuni of Bologna strongly linked.
They have managed secure the future of Antoine Semenyo, who will continue to play a key role in the attack alongside the likes of Justin Kluivert and Evanilson.
Bournemouth predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Petrovic; Araujo, Lucini, Senesi, Truffert; Cook, Adams; Outtara, Kluivert, Semenyo; Evanilson
Brentford
Brentford have endured something of a turbulent summer, with manager Thomas Frank, captain Christian Norgaard and star player Bryan Mbeumo all departing the club.
Highly-rated, if untested coach Keith Andrews has stepped up to become manager in challenging conditions, though Michael Kayode, Jordan Henderson and Caoimhin Kelleher all look like smart additions.
Igor Thiago and Kevin Schade will have to step up to replace the goals of Manchester United-bound Bryan Mbeumo, though Andrews will still be hoping to be able to call on Yoane Wissa, who scored 19 Premier League goals last season but has been linked with Tottenham and Newcastle.
Brentford predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Kelleher; Kayode, Collins, Ajer, Hickey; Henderson, Jensen; Damsgaard, Wissa, Schade; Thiago
Brighton
A number of players have left Brighton this summer - but that is nothing new for them with a number of promising youngsters also coming through the door at the Amex.
Joao Pedro, Pervis Estupinan, Simon Adingra, Valentin Barco and Evan Ferguson have all departed, with £30million Charalampos Kostoulas their biggest outlay alongside Maxim De Cuyper, Tom Watson, Diego Coppola, Do-young Woon and Oliver Boscagli coming in.
Carlos Baleba remains a Seagulls player despite seeming nailed on to depart this summer, with goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen also linked with a move away.
Brighton predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Verbruggen; Wieffer, Van Hecke, Coppola, De Cuyper; Ayari, Baleba; Minteh, Rutter, Mitoma; Welbeck
Burnley
After securing an immediate return to the Premier League, Burnley will hope they can remain in the top flight this time around and have made several signings to help them do that.
Kyle Walker brings some much-needed experience, while Marcus Edwards and Jaiden Anthony will be tasked with providing the creative spark after making their moves to Turf Moor permanent, as will Jacob Bruun Larsen, who is back at Burnley after a loan spell during their last Premier League stint.
Axel Tuanzebe will battle for a start at the back against CJ Egan-Riley and Maxime Esteve, while young goalkeeper Max Weiss will hope to fill the void left by James Trafford.
Midfielder Josh Brownhill is also set to leave, leaving Scott Parker with work to do in the engine room.
Burnley predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Weiss; Walker, Egan-Riley, Esteve, Hartman; Cullen, Hannibal; Edwards, Bruun Larsen, Anthony; Flemming
Chelsea
As ever, Chelsea have spent big in the transfer window and after the windfall generated by their Club World Cup triumph, that looks set to continue.
Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro will provide a new dimension in attack, while fellow striker arrival Liam Delap may be forced to settle for a place on the bench.
The competition for a place going forward will only increase with the potential arrival of Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig, while Jorrel Hato will slot in at centre-back once his move from Ajax goes through.
Goalkeeper Robert Sanchez hangs onto the No1 jersey for now but that could change if the Blues land top target Mike Maignan.
Chelsea predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; James, Hato, Colwill, Cucurella; Caicedo, Enzo; Palmer, Simons, Gittens; Pedro
Crystal Palace
FA Cup winners Crystal Palace begin the season with plenty of uncertainty over both their demotion from the Europa League, and the futures over stars like Eze, Marc Guehi and Adam Wharton.
Eze is odds-on to join Arsenal, while Guehi is set to sign a new deal as he enters the final year of his contract - and therefore the last time the Eagles can demand a fee for their skipper. Sporting Lisbon defender Ousmane Diomande could be the man to replace him.
Oliver Glasner's side look set to land highly-rated forward Evann Guessand after an excellent season in France with Nice and could well step up to fill Eze's void.
Crystal Palace predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Henderson; Richards, Lacroix, Diomande; Munoz, Wharton, Doucoure, Sosa; Sarr, Mateta, Guessand
Everton
Everton have a familiar face in charge in David Moyes but next season will have a fresh feel to it as they move into their new Hill Dickinson Stadium, while the squad is undergoing a rebuild after a number of players were released over the summer.
The likes of Ashley Young, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have departed, with striker Thierno Barry their biggest acquisition so far, as Charly Alcaraz joins permanently and Adam Aznou and Mark Travers also come through the door.
Still, they have plenty of work to do, with links to the likes of Jack Grealish and Douglas Luiz not coming to fruition, with former Arsenal utility man Ainsley Maitland-Niles another option.
Everton predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Pickford; Patterson, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Luiz, Garner; McNeil, Alcaraz, Ndiaye; Barry
Fulham
It has been a fairly quiet summer for Fulham, with backup goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte their only arrival so far.
The Cottagers have been linked with a loan move to bring back Joao Palhinha after struggling for game time at Bayern Munich but they may opt for Chelsea's Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall instead.
Nottingham Forest's Jota Silva is also reportedly an option in what would be a swap deal with winger Adama Traore, with Raheem Sterling another name who could head to Craven Cottage to revive his career.
Fulham predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Leno; Tete, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson; Berge, Dewsbury-Hall; Jota, Smith-Rowe, Sterling; Jimenez
Leeds
Leeds are another club who will try to break the promoted teams curse after storming to the Championship title last season.
Lukas Nmecha, Jaka Bijol, Sebastiaan Bornauw, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Sean Longstaff, Anton Stach, and Lucas Perri have all arrived, with defender James Justin and striker Artem Dovbyk reportedly of interest.
Willy Gnonto will remain a key man in attack, while Joel Piroe will hope to translate his success in the Championship to the top flight.
Leeds predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Perri; Bogle, Bijol, Ampadu, Gudmondsson; Stach, Longstaff; Gnonto, Aaronson, Nmecha; Piroe
Liverpool
Liverpool's Premier League title defence has begun with a hugely impressive summer transfer window, with Arne Slot signing Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez and Hugo Ekitike in a statement of intent by the Reds.
Frimpong and Kerkez replace Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy as the club's new full-backs, with Wirtz likely to start off the left and Ekitike the new striker through the middle.
Alisson Becker should remain as first-choice goalkeeper over new arrival Giorgi Mamardashvili in what is a stacked set of options between the sticks.
Of course, the frontline could significantly change if the Merseysiders succeed in their reported pursuit of Alexander Isak, with speculation continuing over the transfer.
Liverpool predicted XI (4-3-3): Alisson; Frimpong, Konate, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai; Salah, Isak, Wirtz
Manchester City
Manchester City got lots of their business done prior to the start of the Club World Cup, with Rayan Cherki, Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Ait-Nouri coming through the door to give the side a fresh look.
The imminent return of James Trafford will give Ederson some long-term competition for the No1 shirt, while Newcastle's Tino Livramento would be an update at right-back should that move go through.
Phil Foden will hope to return to his best form this season, with a potential combination with Cherki, Omar Marmoush and Erling Haaland an exciting prospect.
Manchester City predicted XI (4-3-3): Ederson; Livramento, Dias, Gvardiol, Ait-Nouri; Rodri, Reijnders, Cherki; Foden, Haaland, Marmoush
Manchester United
After a disastrous 2024/25 campaign, Man Utd have chosen to get behind manager Ruben Amorim by strengthening in their attack with the signings of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.
That duo look set to feature just behind Rasmus Hojlund in attack, though the Danish striker could lose his place to either Ollie Watkins or Benjamin Sesko if they land either player.
Amad Diallo and Patrick Dorgu will continue as the wing-backs in Amorim's 3-4-2-1 system, with captain Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte starting in midfield, though the Red Devils boss is keen to add another athletic option in his engine room.
Manchester United predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Onana, Mazraoui, De Ligt, Yoro; Diallo, Ugarte, Fernandes, Shaw; Mbeumo, Cunha, Sesko
Newcastle
Star striker Alexander Isak continues to be linked with a move away from Newcastle after a hugely impressive 2024/25 campaign in which he scored 27 goals.
RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko is now favoured by the bookies to join Manchester United, with Yoane Wissa linked with a move to St James' Park. Tino Livramento, meanwhile, could be on his way to Manchester City.
Anthony Elanga provides an upgrade to Jacob Murphy on the right of attack but Eddie Howe is otherwise expected to stick to his trusted squad that secured Champions League qualification last season, though Aaron Ramsdale has recently emerged as a target to replace Nick Pope in goal.
Newcastle predicted XI (4-3-3): Ramsdale; Trippier, Botman, Schar, Hall; Tonali, Guimaraes, Joelinton; Elanga, Sesko, Gordon
Nottingham Forest
Gibbs-White's new contract might be Nottingham Forest's best piece of business all summer as they look to prove last season's surprise success was no fluke.
The Tricky Trees have recruited striker Igor Jesus and Jair Cunha from Botafogo this summer, with striker Jesus set to go straight into the side potentially alongside Chris Wood.
Anthony Elanga's sale to Newcastle left a gap on the right wing, which has now been filled with Bologna man Dan Ndoye.
Predicted Nottingham Forest XI (4-2-3-1): Selz; Aina, Milenkovic, Murrilo, Williams; Yates, Anderson; Ndoye, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Jesus
Sunderland
Sunderland are back in the Premier League after eight years and are doing their best to make sure they remain there with a hugely impressive summer transfer window so far.
After losing Jobe Bellingham early in the window, Habib Diarra, Simon Adingra, Chemsdine Talbi, Noah Sadiki, Reinildo Mandava have all arrived, with the latest signing of Granit Xhaka from Bayer Leverkusen another huge coup.
The Black Cats remain interested in upgrading Anthony Patterson in goal with moves for Sam Johnstone and Dmytro Riznyk reportedly in the pipeline, while Regis Le Bris may also want to strengthen at centre-back and up front.
Sunderland predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Patterson; Hume, Ballard, Seelt, Reinildo; Xhaka, Diarra; Roberts, Le Fee, Adingra; Mayenda
Tottenham
Tottenham are kicking off a new era under Thomas Frank as Europa League champions, with Mohammed Kudus their headline acquisition from rivals West Ham so far.
Spurs looked set to show their ambition by luring Morgan Gibbs-White to North London but his recent new contract at Nottingham Forest has put an end to those hopes.
Mathys Tel will assume a left-sided position after joining permanently from Bayern Munich, with Kevin Danso potentially stepping in at centre-back depending on Cristian Romero's future.
Tottenham predicted XI (4-3-3): Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van der Ven, Udogie; Bentancur, Maddison, Kudus; Kulusevski, Solanke, Tel
West Ham
Graham Potter he can finally bring success to West Ham in his first full season in charge but losing Kudus to Spurs will not have helped his cause.
Still, star man and captain Jarrod Bowen is still in West London and capable of firing them back into the top half but the Hammers will still be keen to add some recruits before the window closes.
They have recently been linked with forgotten Arsenal midfielder Fabio Vieira and striker Callum Wilson following his release from Newcastle. Another centre-back could also be a priority.
West Ham XI (3-4-2-1): Areola; Mavropanos, Todibo, Kilman; Wan-Bissaka, Ward-Prowse, Vieira, Walker-Peters; Bowen, Paqueta; Wilson
Wolves
Wolves will begin the season without Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri following their moves to Manchester United and Manchester City respectively, while they have made three additions so far.
Wide players Fer Lopez and Jhon Arias have come in, with Jorgen Strand Larsen making his switch to Molineux permanent after scoring 14 league goals last season.
Nelson Semedo and Craig Dawson's departures leave them short at the back and they have missed out on right-back Marc Pubill to Atletico Madrid, so Vitor Pereira will surely be keen to add to their options at the back before the start of the season.
Vladimir Coufal has been named as another option following his release from West Ham.
Wolves predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Sa; Doherty, Agbadou, Toti; Coufal, Andre, Joao Gomes, Rodrigo Gomes; Lopez, Arias; Strand Larsen
