Premier League 25/26 sack race: Odds on first manager to leave
Published:
Ladbrokes looks at the odds on the first Premier League manager to leave their post this season, with Daniel Farke the clear favourite as we enter August 2025.
With the football season fast approaching, fans of clubs across the Premier Legaue are filled with optimism about their side's chances for the forthcoming campaign.
However, it can't be a positive season for everyone, with there being a pretty good chance that a few Premier League managers will be sacked from their jobs before May 2026.
So, with all that said, join Ladbrokes as we look at the odds for the next (first) Premier League manager to lose their job this season, with Farke the front-runner as we prepare for the campaign to kick off.
Premier League 25/26 first manager to leave their job odds
Daniel Farke the favourite to be the first Premier League manager to leave
Leeds aren't even odds-on to get relegated from the Premier League this season, but the bookies still have Farke as the favourite to be the first manager to leave their job this season.
Eyebrows were raised when Brentford appointed set piece coach Keith Andrews as their new manager, and that's reflected by the fact that he's the second-favourite to be the first Premier League manager to lose his job.
Along with his inexperience as a senior manager, Andrews' chances aren't going to have been helped by the fact that Bryan Mbeumo and Cristian Nogaard have left the club, as well as Yoane Wissa pushing to move to Newcastle.
Third in the running is Scott Parker of Burnley, with the Clarets actually being priced by the bookies as having the greatest chances of getting relegated come the end of the season next year.
Regis Le Bris is the promoted manager with the best chance of NOT being the first Premier League boss to leave his post, at least if the latest odds from Ladbrokes are to be believed.
Nuno Espirito Santo, Ruben Amorim, Graham Potter and Vitor Pereira round out the top eight, with the aforementioned names being the only managers with odds shorter than 20/1 of being the first to go.
For those interested in an outside-the-box punt, Ladbrokes has no Premier League manager to lose their job this season, either by being sacked or by resigning, priced at 100/1.
Ladbrokes has odds on other names to be the first boss to leave their post, including Pep Guardiola, Arne Slot and Unai Emery, but they're all priced pretty far out at 33/1 or more.
When it comes to more Premier League odds, Liverpool are priced as the favourites to win the title come the end of the season, with better odds than Arsenal and Manchester City.
Brentford are also being tipped to remain in the Premier League, at least if the latest relegation odds are anything to go by, with Bukayo Saka priced as the favourite to win the PFA Player of the Season.
When it comes to the Golden Boot, the bookies have Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah as the two front-runners, with no other playing having won the award since Harry Kane in 2021.
