Punter lands 20,678/1 football bet in one of the biggest accas ever

A Ladbrokes customer landed a 20,678/1 acca in unbelievable fashion last week, as the bookies reveal one of the biggest football bets ever.

The Accrington-based punter made the most of the international break, turning just 50p into a whopping £10,339.61, by correctly predicting outcomes in no less than THIRTY-FOUR matches from around the world. 

There was a clear trend in the bet in question, as the customer opted to back the same two markets across the mega acca on 33 occasions: Over 1.5 First Half Goals (23 times) and Under 2.5 Second Half Goals (10 times), with the remaining selection being 'Under 2.5 Total Goals' in the Boca Juniors de Cali v Atletico FC game last week, which finished 2-0 to the hosts.

No selection in question was priced bigger than 3/4, but the sheer number of games covered, landing successfully, is practically unheard of, according to the bookies, and resulted in the total odds of the mega accumulator being around 20,678/1.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes: "This punter has landed the biggest acca we've ever seen... at 20,678/1, and to the tune of just over £10.3k from a 50p stake will almost definitely go down as the best bet of the season."

"What's even more remarkable is that the monster acca landed with relative ease... bar a late scare in the Arsenal v Valerenga game as the hosts scored two late goals, and squeaky bum time in the Muncipal Perez Zeledon v Santos de Guapiles after an 86^th minute strike, amazingly there was little to no drama we could see across the rest of the matches in question."
