Sean Levey Friday rides blog: 'He's got a great chance at Newmarket'

Ladbrokes ambassador Sean Levey previews his three rides at Newmarket on Friday in his latest blog.

We start on Friday with Joseph [O'Brien]'s horse in the listed race - he ran well when winning in Cork and I think we should write off his run in the listed race at Gowran Park last time out as it was too bad to be true. The track and ground will definitely suit him here, and I'd imagine he's over here to get some blacktype.

If you take away Battle Apple's last run at Doncaster which was a trip too short, and you solely looked at his maiden run at Ascot, there's five winners who came out of that race, and the one that beat him [Laureate Crown] is a nice horse rated at 90 now... off the back of that, you'd obviously have to say he's got a great chance at Newmarket. With that being said, it is a hot race here, being a Newmarket maiden, but he's got experience and form.

Boyfriend is up to a mile and one furlong in the last race of the day. He's a very strong traveller, and you could argue that one of his best runs to date came on this track. He's top weight here so is vulnerable to an improver - but like I said, he's performed well here before and hopefully he'll put his best foot forward again.
