Aramram - Royal Ascot - 3.40 race odds
Fandom - Royal Ascot - 5.00 race odds
Aramram is a horse we love. He danced every dance as a three-year-old and came back and improved hugely to win a listed race first time out and then was very competitive in a group race.
He has run against the majority of these horses. He has improved himself out of handicaps and now he finds himself in a Group 1. A lot of people would argue he has every right to be here. Being a sprinter, it doesn’t take much to improve a horse to win a race like this because there is never too much between them at this level.
I think he comes here with a great chance, and it is a great opportunity. He is in great form and will obviously have to find improvement. He is very straight forward, versatile, and he likes the track.
With all those elements, you would hope he can find that improvement, especially if others in the race don’t. He is a horse that could no doubt surprise you.
Fandom hasn’t been long at the yard. He has been around the world; he started off in America, ended up in Ireland, and I think he’s even ran in the snow.
We followed his form book and we actually tried him over 5f at Goodwood. We felt he wanted to go up in trip. He ran really well then at York over 6f and found an extra bit of improvement on the back of that to win at Thirsk last time.
I would think Ascot will suit him. I do think he has the stamina to stay 7f and with Ascot being stiff, that will help and he is well treated off his mark.
