Sean Levey Saturday rides schedule

2.05 - Ascot Qipco British Champions Sprint Stakes (Group 1) - Quinault

Quinault is a reliable sprinter who has been running in top grades all year. I think he could be very competitive here; he's got a very nice draw too, high on this sprint track.

3.25 - Queen Elizabeth II Stakes (Sponsored By Qipco) (Group 1) - Rosallion

Rosallion is in great form at home, working really well and we're very hopeful he can get his head in front on Saturday. Ascot is his most favoured track, and he's drawn nicely in 15. Most importantly, though, he's going to get the ground that he wants.

Obviously Field Of Gold is favourite and warrants a lot of respect off the back of what he'd done before the Sussex Stakes, but I'm crossing my fingers for a good day for our boy.

On the whole I'd say I suppose it has been a frustrating year for Rosallion as he's been unlucky, I think, to not get his head in front in a Group 1. Obviously, there's been plenty of seconds in there and it's astonishing, really, because he's always turned form around on horses that have beaten him, on race to race. And yet he's still been unlucky in that he's run into one on every occasion. So with that in mind, it's important for him, and for us, that he does get his head in front on Saturday.

Race day rewards

4.05 - Qipco Champion Stakes prediction - Ombudsman

It's hard to look away from Ombudsman in the big one [Champion Stakes] on Saturday, especially given he's already been a winner on the track. I imagine he's going to win it. The likes of Delacroix and Calandagan make it a very solid and competitive race. But, look, Ombudsman is the one for me who stands out.

4.40 - Balmoral Handicap (Sponsored By Qipco) - Tribal Chief

We then ride David Meneusier's Tribal Chief in the Handicap... he's got in here nicely and this was always the aim for him. Newmarket wasn't to suit last time, in the Cambridgeshire, where the ground came up too quick for him. But he's in off competitive weights, so I'd be hoping he can run a big race for us to see out the day.
