Sean Levey Saturday rides blog: 'His perfect trip.... I'm expecting him to run a massive race here'

Ladbrokes ambassador Sean Levey previews his five rides at Kempton on Saturday in his latest racing blog.

We're at Kempton tomorrow and we start with Local Hero for Richard Hannon, a horse that's just back from a nice break and a gelding operation. He's running at a track here that he seems to thrive on, and he's got a nice draw over what we think is his perfect trip. I'm expecting him to run a massive race here. 

Then we've got First Legion in the fourth race of the day. It looks like a competitive race... the Sirenia always is. Charlie Appleby's [Beckford's Folly] looks the obvious favourite after winning impressively the last two times at Newmarket. But our lad has plenty of experience and has been working well at home. I'd imagine we'll find improvement with the switch to the all-weather track. 

Aramram is a horse in very good form; he ran well at Kempton earlier this year on his first outing of 2025, finishing second to Habooba over the same distance, so the surface isn't an issue for him. Six furlongs on this surface is ideal for him, and with a draw in two, I'd like to think he'll go very close here. 

It's then Cock And Bull, who is a horse from a yard [Michael Bell] in top form this year. His own form has been a little bit up and down since his last win back in April, but he's only a pound off of his last winning mark, so I'd imagine that will find him competitive. 

We finish the day with Great Bedwyn in the last. He runs well on this surface and is in good form. The trip will definitely suit him, and we're hopeful he can find something here.
