Sunderland vs Arsenal betting tips and predictions
Bukayo Saka to score
Arsenal have shared the goalscoring burden this season with 11 different players finding the net and only one - Viktor Gyokeres - managing more than two goals in the Premier League. That makes predicting a goalscorer difficult but we think Arsenal's homegrown star Bukayo Saka could find his shooting boots at the Stadium of Light.
The right-winger is returning to his best after injury and found the net in the Carabao Cup last week and the Champions League on Tuesday. We reckon it's time he adds to his fairly modest tally of two league goals so far this term.
Granit Xhaka to be shown a card
The script seems to be written for Granit Xhaka to play a role somehow as the Sunderland captain faces the club he used to skipper for the first time.
Xhaka spent seven, at times turbulent, years at the Emirates but remains a popular figure at the club. The midfielder was no stranger to getting stuck in during his time with the Gunners, a trait he has carried through his spells at Bayer Leverkusen and now Sunderland.
With three yellow cards this season and a point to prove, we predict a booking for the fiery 33-year-old as he looks to take the game to the league leaders.
Wilson Isidor to have 1+ shots on target
Wilson Isidor has been one of the revelations of Sunderland's impressive season and so far, it has been home games where the striker has really come alive.
Three of the Frenchman's four Premier League goals have come on home turf this season, with his other strike coming in a stunning win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
While we think backing a Sunderland goal against an Arsenal side who have conceded only three goals all season - and have kept clean sheets in their last eight games - may not be the smartest move, it is certainly reasonable to think the 25-year-old will at least test David Raya with an effort on goal.
Arsenal to win
Sunderland will certainly be up for this game but it is hard to look past anything but an Arsenal victory at the Stadium of Light.
Only champions Liverpool have been able to get the better of the Gunners this season, with that coming through a stunning free-kick - and they seem to have only got stronger since that August disappointment. While it's unlikely they'll run away with the victory - as they rarely have done this term - we think they'll have enough for another three points.
