For the first of our Thursday tips, we're predicting Norway to have too much quality for Wales, who have been putting in decent performances without getting the results to match. Craig Bellamy's side haven't won any of their last six internationals, losing each of their last three. They were a solid in 1-0 defeat to Portugal in the first match of this extended break, but were outclassed in a 2-0 loss in Denmark.
Now back on home soil, they face a tough task against World Cup quarter-finalists Norway. Their star man is of course Erling Haaland, who has 10 goals in seven internationals since the start of the World Cup, but captain Martin Odegaard also looks back to his best this season. We think the Norwegians will extend Wales' winless streak.
It's been a mixed international break for the Republic of Ireland, who lost 1-0 in Kosovo before a comfortable 3-0 win over Israel. Up next in Group C of the Nations League is Austria, who are the strongest team in the group, and the only side from it that appeared in the World Cup.
The Austrians are an extremely well-drilled outfit led by Ralf Rangnick, and have lost only two of their last ten games - to World Cup finalists Spain and Argentina. Ireland are not the same calibre of opponent, so we're predicting a home loss for them against Austria.
