Viktor Gyokeres next club odds: Betting officially suspended

Ladbrokes has released odds on Viktor Gyokeres' next club, and there's been yet another major shift in the betting market.

As of June 18, Gyokeres is odds-on with Ladbrokes to be an Arsenal player by the end of the summer transfer window, despite being odds-on to join Manchester United less than 10 days ago.

At the beginning of June, the bookies suggest that the chances of Gyokeres reuniting with former boss Ruben Amorim stood at 70%, but that's now dropped to just over 20%.

Arsenal, 1/2 to sign the Swede, were 6/1 for his signature as recently as 9 June, with the odds at the time suggesting their top target is now Benjamin Sesko, who remains a potential incoming for the Gunners.

However, Mikel Arteta and co are once again the favourites to sign Gyokeres, with reports suggesting Arsenal are unwilling to pay what RB Leipzig want for Sesko this summer.

In terms of teams that Gyokeres is suited most too, Atletico Madrid probably comes to mind, but the bookies have priced a move for the Swede to Diego Simeone's side at 8/1.

Priced longer than the La Liga team share when it comes to Gyokeres' next destination are Liverpool, but it seems like the Reds are prioritising other positions this summer after winning the Premier League in Arne Slot's first season.

Liverpool are the expected to sign Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez, so the bookies seem to think that strengthening the backline is more likely for the Reds than adding firepower to their attack.

Gyokeres is a top striker potentially joining the Premier League, but one who could be on his way out of England's top-flight is Jamie Vardy.

Vardy is set to leave Leicester at the end of the season, and the race is very much open when it comes to the most likely destination for the Premier League legend.

Even if the Sporting Lisbon man moves this year, there's a chance he isn't the most expensive Swedish striker joining a Premier League club, with Liverpool viewed as the favourites to sign Alexander Isak, with Gyokeres' compatriot's asking price at £150m.
