Arsenal's 3-0 win over Fulham last weekend already gave them a goal difference advantage over Manchester City, before Mikel Arteta received an almighty boost from his former manager David Moyes as Everton held City to a 3-3 draw. That result leaves Arsenal five points clear of their title rivals, albeit having played a game more, but the Gunners now know that if they win their remaining three games, they will be Premier League champions for the first time since the 'Invincibles'.
The first of those three games is a trip to West Ham, who themselves are fighting for their lives after falling back into the relegation zone last weekend. After their 3-0 loss to Brentford coupled with Tottenham's win, the Hammers are now a point behind Spurs with three games left. Time is running out and Nuno Espirito Santo's team need a result here.
Arsenal's last two visits to the London Stadium have seen them score 11 goals, although the stakes couldn't be much higher this time around. It's likely to be nervy and West Ham will throw everything given their own predicament, but we're predicting Arsenal to emerge with a narrow 2-1 victory to keep their title tilt on track.
To go with our 2-1 prediction, we're picking both teams to score as part of our West Ham vs Arsenal bet builder. Both teams have scored in four of West Ham's last five home games in all competitions, while the same is true for four of Arsenal's last five away games. The Gunners have failed to score in only two away games this season, while the Irons have scored in nine of their last ten home games in all competitions.
Arsenal's star man has returned just in time for the season's dramatic finale, and Bukayo Saka is certainly making his mark when it matters. After missing a few weeks through injury, Saka produced a goal and assist in his first start back against Fulham, before scoring the only goal in the second-leg of Arsenal's Champions League semi-final win over Atletico Madrid.
The England winger is averaging 1.19 shots on target per 90 minutes this season, and with the stakes as high as they are, the Gunners will be looking to him at every opportunity to create a piece of magic. Saka has a good record against West Ham, with five goals and five assists in 11 games, but did miss a crucial penalty here during the run-in in 2022/23. We're tipping Saka to shine once again for Arsenal by having at least one shot on target at the London Stadium.
Mateus Fernandes has impressed since making the switch to West Ham from Southampton last summer, but won't want consecutive relegations on his CV, even if he's likely to move on if the Irons do go down. Fernandes has built a solid midfield partnership with Tomas Soucek and many of West Ham's attacks start with him. The Portugal international, who made his debut for the national team in April, has picked up seven yellow cards in the league this season, more than any other Hammers player. Six of those seven cards have come at home, including in two of the last three at the London Stadium. Up against former Irons hero Declan Rice, we're tipping Fernandes to be shown a card.
