Wolves vs Arsenal bet builder tips

Arsenal to win

The Gunners have stumbled lately in their pursuit of the title, winning just two of their last six Premier League games, and their lead at the top of the table has been cut to four points. This should be a good game for them to get back on track, with Wolves cut well adrift at the bottom of the league with just 9 points from 26 games.

Performances have improved under Rob Edwards, but they still have just one win all season. Arsenal have won their last nine games against Wolves, and we're backing them to continue that streak on Wednesday.

Under 2.5 goals

We're predicting a 2-0 win for the away side, so for the next leg of our Wolves vs Arsenal bet builder we're selecting under 2.5 goals. Arsenal have the meanest defence in the league, conceding just 18 goals in 26 games, while Wolves' struggles in front of goal have played a huge part in their dreadful season, with no team scoring less than their 16 goals.

The Gunners' defensive injuries have eased, with Gabriel and William Saliba both back to full fitness, and we're tipping them to get their fourteenth clean sheet of the season.

Noni Madueke 1+ shots on target

The signing of Noni Madueke from Chelsea in the summer was derided in some quarters, but he's starting to pick up some real form and show why Arsenal splashed out over £50m. Madueke has proved more than a useful squad player, able to fill in both wings, and has scored in each of his last two league games, adding another in the FA Cup win against Wigan.

The England winger famously scored a hat-trick at this ground last season after making some, shall we say, disparaging remarks about Wolverhampton, also scoring in the return fixture at Stamford Bridge.

Bukayo Saka's minutes are being carefully managed after a string of injuries, and he may be rested here with one eye on the North London derby at the weekend. That would set the stage for Madueke to torment his favourite opponents again, and we're backing him to land a shot on target on Molineux.

Joao Gomes to get booked

Wolves' squad is desperately lacking in quality following years of underinvestment after selling their best players, but midfielder Joao Gomes is one of their standout players. The Brazilian has been capped ten times for his country, and will surely move on when Wolves' relegation is eventually confirmed.

Gomes loves throwing himself into a challenge, picking up eight yellow cards in the league this campaign, and with Arsenal expected to have much of the ball, we could see him collecting another booking here.
