Ladbrokes previews Group C of the 2026 World Cup
Brazil are favourites to win the group and are one of the key contenders to win the tournament
Morocco also have high expectations and will battle with Scotland for second, with Haiti hoping to spring a surprise

Ahead of the 2026 World Cup, Ladbrokes shares its in-depth Group C preview, with a look at each nation, the full schedule, and the bookies' favourites.
Five-time world champions Brazil are the clear favourites to win a tough group which features the 2022 World Cup's surprise package Morocco, as well as Scotland and minnows Haiti - presenting some potentially exciting games throughout.
Brazil are among the key contenders to win the World Cup outright and, as a result, should have little issue progressing from Group C.
Graced with so many iconic players of the past, Vinicius Junior is the current talisman tasked with guiding the Selecao to their sixth World Cup triumph - and their first since all the way back in 2002 - but there are plenty of other talented players littered throughout the squad, such as Matheus Cunha of Manchester United and Joao Pedro of Chelsea.
Their opening game against Morocco is undoubtedly the biggest test of the group stage, so starting off with a win would be a signal to the rest of the tournament that Brazil mean business this time around.
Morocco continue to build on their remarkable run to the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup and arrive in North America as one of Africa’s strongest contenders.
Walid Regragui’s side are organised, disciplined and dangerous on the counter, with Achraf Hakimi and Sofyan Amrabat key to their hopes of success once again.
The Atlas Lions are favourites to finish second behind Brazil, though their meeting with Scotland could ultimately decide who progresses automatically.
Scotland are back on the biggest stage for the first time since 1998 and, perhaps unlike previous years at major tournaments, they have a genuine chance of reaching the knockout rounds.
Steve Clarke’s side impressed in qualifying and boast a squad packed with Premier League experience, including Scott McTominay, Andy Robertson and John McGinn.
The Scots are likely to battle it out with Morocco for second spot, but finishing third still opens up the potential of squeezing through to the knockout stages - which would be the first time the Tartan Army have ever done so.
Just to be here at the World Cup is a huge achievement for minnows Haiti and the small Caribbean nation will no doubt go into Group C as the outsiders.
It is Haiti's second time at the World Cup, having also done so in 1974, and they have probably been dealt one of the toughest draws of all the smaller teams, with all three of their opponents possessing the power to make their mark into the knockout rounds.
Even if qualification looks unlikely, Haiti will no doubt believe they can upset the odds. Get a result against any of their group opponents, then it could open the opportunity to create more history and progress into the round of 32.
Brazil have underwhelmed at recent World Cups but there is no doubting the fact that they are heavy favourites in this group. Ladbrokes' odds have Carlo Ancelotti's side as 1/100 to qualify for the next round and only 2/7 to end up on top.
It is Morocco who come in as second favourites - and for good reason. The recently-awarded AFCON champions are 1/12 to avoid elimination in the group stage and 7/2 to top the group - which feels a decent price for a side well capable of troubling Brazil.
It looks like a battle between the Atlas Lions and Scotland for the second place, with the Tartan Army only 1/4 to make it out the group, while finishing top feels less likely as 8/1.
That leaves Haiti, who face an unenviable task in a tough group. Even qualification to the knockouts would be a huge achievement and they are 9/1 to do just that. Their status as underdogs is reflected by a huge 50/1 to win Group C.

Predicted standings:
1) Brazil
2) Morocco
3) Scotland
4) Haiti
We are predicting Brazil to live up to expectations and win Group C, with their opener against Morocco undoubtedly the biggest hurdle to overcome in their bid to do that.
The Atlas Lions will give them a huge test but still seal progression in second, with Scotland having to settle for third in the hope they can go through as one of the best third-placed teams.
That leaves Haiti finishing bottom, with the opener against Scotland probably their best chance to pick up points and try and finish any higher.
