  • Ladbrokes has tipped an Arsenal win or a draw in a double chance bet

The Premier League roars back into action after the international break with a new but familiar manager in the hotseat as Arsenal host Nottingham Forest.

Forest made the shock decision to sack Nuno Espirito Santo earlier this week and replace him with Ange Postecoglou, who led Arsenal's arch-rivals Tottenham to Europa League glory last season.

With such contrasting styles between Nuno's counter-attacking approach and Ange's ultra-offensive tactics, this encounter against one of the title favourites is hard to predict.

But we've had a go at doing just that, as we pick out the result and some key stats to have a wager on for the Saturday lunchtime game.

Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal betting tips and predictions

Arsenal to have the most corners

What is easy to predict is that Arsenal will look to use set-pieces to gain an edge, as they so often do.

The Gunners have had 14 corners across their first three games and, given Tottenham's struggles defending dead-ball situations last year under Ange, it would be no surprise to see them look to utilise their not-so-secret weapon.

Under 2.5 total goals

While some may expect Forest to immediately switch to an open and expansive approach, we think Ange might set his side up with caution here, much like he did during Spurs' Europa League campaign.

Arsenal failed to score in their last game at Liverpool, scored once from a corner against Manchester United and found the net with all five of their shots on target versus Leeds and we think the Tricky Trees may sit back and frustrate the hosts.

Declan Rice to have 1+ shots on target

Declan Rice is enjoying a more attacking role for club and country and was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet for England during their 5-0 in Serbia on Tuesday.

At 5/4 at the time of writing, Rice offers better value than the likes of Viktor Gyokeres or Noni Madueke in the shots on target market and with the midfielder on free-kick duty for the Gunners, backing him to test Matz Sels seems like a viable option.

Arsenal to win or draw

While it won't be plain sailing for the hosts, we believe they should have enough to get the three points at home, with Forest set to take time to get used to Ange's tactics.

That said, backing a double chance with an Arsenal win or draw covers your back if Mikel Arteta's men do end up being held at the Emirates.
