The Hawkstonian – 12.42 Huntingdon
The Hawkstonian is a very nice-looking big type. He ran ok in bumpers but was always going to do better over hurdles. He went up to Sedgefield and ran quite a nice race finishing third. He still looked a bit green but he has come out of it really nicely. If he runs a similar race, then hopefully he won’t be too far away and can be back in the paddock.
De Kingpin – 1.45 Huntingdon
The King Pin runs in a three-mile chase. He’s another lovely looking grey. We thought he always wanted fences. He ran a nice enough race at Ffos Las, but the ground would have been a little on the sharp side for him and this bit of rain will help him out a lot. He’s a very accurate jumper so hopefully he can get into a nice rhythm, and if he can reproduce what he did at Ffos Las then he should be in the shakeup.
Wondering Why – 2.23 Huntingdon
Another hurdler I ride is Wondering Why. I rode him a Southwell the last day and had a really nice feel. He jumps brilliantly and ran a nice race. He is just a bit on the green side still but if he can come on for that run, then he has a chance.
