One of rugby union's most anticipated events is in full flow as the British and Irish Lions continue their tour of Australia this summer.

Every four years, the best players from England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland team up to take on one of the Southern Hemisphere's best sides in a three-Test affair, with 2025 seeing Andy Farrell's side take on two-time world champions Australia.

Before colliding with the Wallabies though, The Lions will compete in a number of warm-ups games, with the Lions unbeaten in four games Down Under so far, most recently seeing off an Australia and New Zealand Invitational side 48-0 in their most complete performance to date.

Here is all you need to know about the British and Irish Lions Tour so far, including all the results, fixtures and latest odds.

Lions deliver statement ahead of first Test

The Lions delivered their best performance of the tour so far in timely fashion ahead of Saturday's first Test as they dismantled the Australia and New Zealand Invitational side 48-0 at the Adelaide Oval.

While the strength of the opposition could have been questioned, it was undoubtedly an encouraging performance, scoring eight unanswered tries including a Duhan van der Merwe hat-trick.

While Farrell's XV selection against the Wallabies is expected to look more like the one that beat the Brumbies earlier in the week, a number of players will have put their names in the hat with their displays on Saturday.

And the Lions head coach is welcoming the dilemmas he faces ahead of the first Test in Brisbane. Farrell said:

We need to enjoy a bit of down time as it has been full on for 14 days, it has been a tough old block.

"We want people to put their hands up and this group will roll on together and go after the Test series together.

Australia vs Lions odds: Tourists still favourites

The Lions remain odds on for their first series victory since 2013, with the bookies expecting the tourists to have too much for Joe Schmidt's new-look side.

A strong historical record plays a contributing factor. Of the 23 games played against the Wallabies, the Lions have won 17 games.

That is a stark difference to their head-to-head record against both New Zealand and South Africa, winning only seven of 41 versus the All Blacks and 18 of 49 in games with the Springboks.

Australia have shown vast improvements in two years under Joe Schmidt but lost to both Ireland and Scotland in the November internationals and only narrowly beat Fiji 21-18 on Sunday prior to the first Test against the Lions on July 19.

But the hosts have something their counterparts may not quite have yet: cohesion.

So often the great leveller on Lions Tours, the tourists, made up of four nations, have shown they are taking time to gel as a team and that could tip the scales towards Australia when the series kicks off.
