The Champions League 2025/26 group stage serves up a blockbuster on Wednesday night as Barcelona and PSG meet in a tie that could go a long way in deciding who tops the league phase.
Both sides won their first games in Europe, with Barcelona picking up an impressive win at St. James' Park and PSG comfortably defeating Atalanta. This fixture will always throw up memories of the famous 'Remontada' in 2017, but in the two meetings in Barcelona since, the Parisians have actually won both games 4-1.
Ladbrokes brings you its betting tips and predictions as the current joint-favourites host the reigning European champions.
Barcelona vs PSG: Champions League odds, betting tips and predictions
Robert Lewandowski to have 1+ shots on target
Lewandowski remains the focal point of Barcelona’s attack and his record speaks for itself. The Polish striker has had at least one shot on target in each of his last five matches and has already scored four La Liga goals this season.
With Barcelona creating chances consistently, we are backing him to keep that streak going and land another shot on target here.
Achraf Hakimi to commit 1+ fouls
PSG’s Moroccan right-back Achraf Hakimi is known for his marauding runs forward but he’s equally likely to be exposed defensively, especially against the pace and trickery of Marcus Rashford, who scored twice in Barca's win over Newcastle.
Hakimi picked up seven yellow cards last season and has one booking this term in Ligue 1, but the safer bet is for him to commit at least one foul. It should be a thrilling match with caution thrown to the wind, and we think there'll be a few tactical fouls to stop counter attacks, with Hakimi to commit at least one.
Both teams to score
Goals are highly likely when these sides meet. Barcelona have been scoring freely under Hansi Flick, averaging three goals a game domestically, while PSG arrive full of confidence after sweeping aside Atalanta 4-0 on matchday one. With so much attacking firepower on display, it feels likely that both sides will get on the scoresheet.
Match to end in a draw
This is a clash between two genuine contenders and it will be finely poised. Barcelona’s injuries mean they are without Raphinha, Gavi, Fermin Lopez and both first-choice goalkeepers, although Lamine Yamal returned in the win over Real Sociedad and Alejandro Balde could also feature.
PSG are missing Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembélé along with Marquinhos and Desire Doué, but are still the team to beat in Europe after their phenonemal performances last season. With both teams boasting attacking quality yet hampered by key absentees, we're predicting a share of the spoils on this occasion.
