Friday – Ascot

12.15 –  Safer Gambling Week “National Hunt” Maiden Hurdle - Loriko

Loriko is leading here on figures. He had a nice run at Cheltenham the other day, having stepped up from Uttoxeter. I think on his mark he should be favourite in this maiden hurdle. The step up in trip should suit him as well.

12.50 – 'Introductory' Hurdle - Getawhisky

We run Getawhisky in an introductory hurdle for horses who’ve only had one run over hurdles. She ran really well on her first start. She pulled too keen at Worcester in a decent enough race and I think she will step forward for that. We get the mares allowance as well which is helpful. It’s a good race though.

2.35 – Ascot Partners Handicap Hurdle - Fortune De Mer

Fortune De Mer won a Grade 2 last time out. I took him out of Cheltenham last week because the ground got very heavy, but I think the ground will suit him nicely here. Overall, I am very happy with how he’s been going and I am looking forward to getting him back out again.

3.45 – Ladbrokes Get Rewarded With Ladbucks Open National Hunt Flat Race – Hitintheheadlines

We run Hitintheheadlines in the bumper and he has done loads of work. He is a good-looking horse and won his only point to point. I like him on his homework and everything he has done so he should go and run well. It’s not an ordinary bumper though…it looks pretty good so we will have to be respectful of the opposition.
