Dan Skelton Friday runners schedule

Best odds guaranteed

1.22 - Wasdell Group Novices' Hurdle (GBB Race) (Div I) - Louis Veron & Harry Bright

Harry Bright has run nicely on a couple of occasions, but I just think that he's more of a chaser down the line and he'll be handicapped after this run which, based on his first two runs, looks like a more likely scenario for him. I think he'll improve a bit for this, but he'll get a mark and that's probably where his future lies. He hasn't looked good enough to win a weight for age, but I think we'll find an improvement in this horse when he goes chasing.

We also run Louis Veron in this one - he's a nice young horse by Karaktar. We had him ready to run a couple of times last year but he just kept getting little problems; no big issues, or anything like that, but he was only three, going into four last year. Now he's a bit stronger and he'll continue to improve as he gets older. He goes nicely at home, we've done loads of jumping with him, but he just has no experience. So we need to see him running at the track before we can start making grand plans for him. He should go well, but the key for him is getting that experience.

1.57 - Wasdell Group Novices' Hurdle (GBB Race) (Div II) - Blue Carpet & Albie Littlewood

Blue Carpet won his bumper last year and actually ran well under a penalty a couple of times. We've done loads of work with him, and he's been ready to run now for 10 days or so. He will improve a bit for the run, but he's not short of fitness by any stretch; we've done plenty with him because we expected to have him ready for about now... he should go well.

Extra Place Races

Albie Littlewood is our other one in this race... he ran OK in a bumper a year ago and has had plenty of time off since. He had a small problem that day but he's a nice, big, strong horse. I think he's got a future in the game.

2.32 - Steve And Scott Half Centuries Mares' Handicap Chase (Challenger Mares' Chase Qualifier) (GBB Race) - Theonewedreamof

Theonewedreamof runs in the Mares' Chase - she's a nice mare who is new to us; her form tells you that she tries hard, and it looks like the trip and ground will be fine for her. I'm looking forward to getting her out there and getting her started. I don't know what the handicap means to her; obviously she's never run for us, so I can't say whether she is or isn't well handicapped at this stage, but she's done loads of work at home, she's ready to go and she shouldn't be far away, to be honest.

3.12 - Dragonbet Veterans' Handicap Chase (Leg 6 Of The Stayers' Veterans' Chase Series) - Le Milos

Le Milos is a good old boy of ours, who won a Veterans' Chase back in May. He's in great form, he looks brilliant and we've done loads with him. It's great that he can run in these older horse races because everyone's the same. I don't think he holds too much for the handicapper, but he'll give his running. He's in great form and he'll definitely have a chance here.

3.43 - Dragonbet Persian War Novices' Hurdle (Grade 2) (GBB Race) - Moneygarrow

Moneygarrow runs in a Grade 2 Novices' Hurdle - obviously there's no hurdle experience under his belt, but he's won a point-to-point, won a bumper and been second in a listed bumper, so he carries through some nice form here. The two ahead of him in the betting do have that experience over hurdles, but I do think he'll run very well here. He's had good preparation as we've had this race in mind since he came in. Giving away that experience to the two heading the betting is going to make this hard, though.

4.17 - dragonbet.co.uk "Chasing Excellence" Novices' Chase (GBB Race) - Coco Mademoiselle

We've then got Coco Mademoiselle in the Novices' Chase - she gets a 7lb mares allowance, which is obviously helpful. She looks brilliant; she had a run at Worcester the other day and won in what was effectively a match race. So she's got a run under her belt, which is ideal. She'll most likely be favourite in this one, and I'd give her a big chance. We might head to something like the Badger Beer after this. She likes a bit of nice ground, and the track should really suit her.

4.55 - David Pipe Racing Handicap Hurdle - Jorah & Supreme Yeats

We then run two in the Handicap Hurdle... Supreme Yeats has been on the go all summer, and has ran really well, and consistently well - I just don't think he holds anything from the handicapper whatsoever. Jorah ran a couple of times in the summer as well, and I think his mark is much more realistic.

Liverpool vs Villa tickets

Hopefully there's plenty of improvement in that mark. Whether he can just go and win a big-runner field like this remains to be seen, but I do think he's got a nice future in the game and will definitely jump fences as well.

5.30 - Christian Williams Racing Supporting Childhood Cancer Mares' Handicap Hurdle - La Belle Argentee

We finish on Friday with La Belle Argentee who is a lovely mare for this Mares' Hurdle. She got a mark after two runs because she's been placed twice, so we thought we'd dip into a handicap here, instead of taking on potentially higher rated horses in Novices.

I'd give her a chance; she doesn't have as much experience as others in the field, but she's got that run under her belt now, which was a good run at Newton Abbott the last day, and I do think she's going to be a big improver. The more she learns, the better she'll get. There's plenty to come from her, for sure.
