Great Fleet – 11.50 Kelso
We start with a novice hurdler who is leading on figures, Great Fleet. He has run well around the track and carries a pretty high handicap mark for a maiden. I am looking forward to getting him back on the track and I don’t think the drop in trip is a negative at all.
Disco Davis – 12.20 Kelso
Disco Davis disappointed the last time after running really well on his first outing of the season at Uttoxeter. I can’t tell you why he ran so badly the last day, there’s no reason for it bar maybe the very soft ground that day. We are back out, I think the track will suit, and we will want to see a lot better.
Diamond Dealer – 2pm Kelso
Diamond Dealer runs in the four-miler, and he comes here having won his last two. This is worth a few quid, and he has run at the track before so we thought we would give it a go. If he doesn’t win we can come back down in trip and grade. We are throwing our hat in the ring in a big contest. We think he will go really well, but at the same time, we are very aware that we’re asking a lot more.
Unexpected Party – 2.37 Kelso
Unexpected Party gets a nice weight in this race. Young Harry Atkins takes 7lb off. He knocked on the door last time in the Graduation Chase and there is no reason why he won't run really well. I’ll stop short of saying he’s going to win, because he doesn’t win that often but we are very happy with him at home.
Boombawn – 3pm Huntingdon
We run Boombawn in a very hot race, and we’ve had this race in mind for him for some time. We have trained him for it and we expect him to run really well. Numerically this is as deep as the contest has been for years, so we have to be respectful of the others. Trip, track, and everything else will suit him.
Lune Brillante & Katios Queen – 3.30 Huntingdon
We run two in the listed fillies' bumper. Both mares have won their only starts to date. Harry [Skelton] rides Lune Brillante only by virtue of the fact that he was on her when she won. She's going nicely and has that run under her belt. She is open to any amount of improvement. She is a stayer so a fast-run race should help her.
Katios Queen is slightly different; she’s a bit pacier and she did pick up very well at Fontwell to win. Both mares are taking a massive step up in grade and I would like to think that they’ll run really well.
