England will look to continue their perfect record in World Cup 2026 qualifying when they host Serbia at Wembley on Thursday.

The Three Lions, one of the World Cup favourites, have already wrapped up their place at next summer's tournament in North America with six wins from six without conceding a goal as they face a side they dispatched 5-0 away from home during the September international break.

Despite their fate being secured, there will still be plenty to look out for at Wembley, with competition for a World Cup squad place still fierce as players look to impress Tuchel enough to secure a place on the plane next summer.

England vs Serbia betting tips and predictions

England to win (-2.0 handicap)

Given the flawless way England have negotiated qualifying so far - and the result in the reverse fixture in Belgrade - it would be a big surprise to see anything but a victory for the hosts.

With that in mind, the handicap can help you bolster the odds in your favour and we think the Three Lions will still win even after taking a two-goal hit.

After some narrow wins early on in qualifying, England look to be really clicking under Thomas Tuchel and have won by three goals or more in each of their last three games. With the German expected to name a strong XI, a similarly comfortable game is expected here.

Harry Kane to be first goalscorer

If Harry Kane's place in the side wasn't already guaranteed before, it certainly will be during this international break with the captain the only recognised No9 named in Tuchel's squad.

The Bayern Munich striker has been in sensational scoring form this season, scoring six times in six qualifying games for his country as well as 23 goals in 17 appearances for his club.

Of Kane's 76 England goals, 19 have been the first in the game to break the deadlock. We think he could make it 20 here to set the Three Lions on their way.

Marcus Rashford to have 2 or more shots on target

Another man who looks primed for a start on the left is Marcus Rashford, who is England's best option following Anthony Gordon's withdrawal from the squad.

To be fair, Rashford may have started even if Gordon was in the squad given his exceptional recent form for Barcelona - and his team-mate's poor performances for struggling Newcastle.

With 13 goal contributions in his last 13 games for the La Liga giants, Rashford joins up with the England squad enjoying his best form for years and he will fancy himself to test the keeper with at least two shots on goal.

England to keep a clean sheet

England are yet to concede a goal during their qualifying game - and we are backing their perfect defensive record to continue.

With Marc Guehi managing an injury, Ezri Konsa - who has barely put a foot wrong for England - should play alongside the more experienced John Stones in what looks like a strong centre-back pairing.

Prior to facing minnows Andorra last time out, Serbia managed just one goal across games against Latvia, England and Albania - so it's reasonable to think the hosts should have no issues shutting the opposition out.
