Our predictions for Everton vs Leeds
Our prediction: Everton 1-0 Leeds United
In a repeat of the 2025/26 Premier League season's first Monday-night game, we're predicting a reverse of August's scoreline, with Everton winning 1-0 to take all three points. Leeds' recent form has been crucial in steering them away from the bottom three, but as they face a rejuvenated Everton - who will be welcoming back the likes of Iliman Ndiaye - we're expecting the Toffees to edge it in front of their own fans.
Predicted lineups
Everton

Iliman Ndiaye to have 1+ shots on target
Returning to the Premier League as an AFCON champion with Senegal, Iliman Ndiaye will be a very welcome sight for Everton fans - particularly following the news of Jack Grealish's long-term injury. The exciting forward will likely be reinstated straight back into the starting lineup, and we're backing him to test Lucas Perri with at least one shot on target.
Ndiaye leads the way for Everton in terms of shots on target, averaging 0.8 per game in the Premier League this season, and is often the man to create something from nothing for David Moyes' side. His return will be a huge boost to Everton, and as such an effective outlet, we expect the Senegalese to see a lot of the ball on Monday night.
With that in mind, we're tipping Iliman Ndiaye to take the game to Leeds, driving his team forward and having 1+ shots on target.
Under 1.5 goals to be scored in the match
In what could be a tight battle at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, we're anticipating a low-scoring affair to mirror the reverse fixture, with under 1.5 goals being scored in the match. Neither team has an overload of quality at the top end of the pitch, and with this one pitting two of the league's lowest scorers against each other, we wouldn't be surprised to see defences come out on top.
Leeds are always in a game at the moment, last losing by more than one goal back in November, and with Everton keeping three clean sheets in their last five, we certainly aren't predicting a goal-fest on Merseyside. Both teams still have plenty to play for, with Everton's dream of Europe still far from over, so a full-blooded evening under the lights should be in store.
In a game that could be lacking in quality, we're backing under 1.5 goals to be scored, bringing the Premier League weekend to a close with an unspectacular scoreline.
Ethan Ampadu to be shown a card
As is so common with low-scoring games in the Premier League, we're expecting this one to be quite stop-start, with a number of fouls preventing the game from gathering too much momentum at times. Leeds' midfield general, Ethan Ampadu, will be at the heart of the visitors' shape as they keep Everton at bay, and we're expecting him to set the tone with some strong tackles - which could see him pick up a booking.
The Welshman is averaging more than a foul a game this season, and has already picked up seven yellow cards - a number beaten by just two players - so he seems to be a smart pick here. Ampadu has actually been booked in each of his last three Premier League matches, and with the skipper making almost 2.5 tackles per game, he's always at risk of getting one wrong.
With that in mind, we're tipping Ethan Ampadu to be shown a card against Everton on what could be a battling night.
Everton to win at home to Leeds United
Wrapping up our Everton vs Leeds bet builder and predictions, we're tipping the Toffees to take all three points on Monday night, with David Moyes' side exacting revenge for Leeds' opening-day triumph at Elland Road.
Seven points separate the sides ahead of kick-off, with both teams involved in the bottom-half melee, but home advantage should get Everton over the line to cap off an excellent week of results. Leeds will be more than up for the fight, with Daniel Farke's side losing just one of their last nine Premier League games, but as Everton look to reignite their European charge, the star quality in blue should edge it.
Ladbrokes is backing the home side here, with Iliman Ndiaye potentially proving the difference on his return to the side.
