Ahead of the 2025/26 FA Cup first round this weekend, Ladbrokes shares its latest outright winner odds - with Premier League champions Liverpool the early favourites.

Despite a concerning run of form in the league and being dumped out of the Carabao Cup, the bookies still believe the Reds have the best chance of ending the season with at least an FA Cup to celebrate.

Arsenal and Manchester City follow closely behind, with Chelsea and Newcastle making up the top five.

Liverpool favourites for FA Cup win

Premier League sides do not enter the FA Cup until the third round in January but they dominate the main contenders to go all the way in the famous old competition.

Ahead of teams from League One and League Two entering this weekend, Ladbrokes price Liverpool at 9/2 to win the trophy for a ninth time, just ahead of Arsenal and Man City at 5/1 each.

Chelsea are priced at 8/1, with last season's Carabao Cup winners Newcastle (10/1) the only other team with odds of 10/1 or less. Manchester United are just outside at 14/1.

But as last season's triumph for Crystal Palace proved, the FA Cup is a wide-open field - meaning any of the likes of Aston Villa (16/1), Tottenham (16/1), Brighton (20/1), Nottingham Forest (25/1) or Bournemouth (25/1) could be a worthy shout.

On the topic of Palace, they are 28/1 to retain the trophy, with Everton (33/1), Fulham (33/1), West Ham (40/1) and Brentford (50/1) making up the sides with odds of 50/1 or less.

FA Cup odds: Underdog winner on the cards?

If backing an outsider tickles your fancy, there are a host of clubs with long odds who could be worth a punt.

Sunderland at 66/1 feels like an obvious place to start. The Black Cats are currently defying the odds in the Premier League as they sit fourth in the table, recently seeing off Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. They are also two-time winners of the competition, the most recent one coming in 1973 when they were in the Second Division.

Elsewhere, Championship leaders Coventry offer value at 200/1 as they remain unbeaten under Frank Lampard this season. The Sky Blues were a narrow offside decision away from reaching the final in 2023/24. Leicester, who won the trophy as recently as 2021, are also priced at 200/1.

A Hollywood victory for Wrexham is 200/1, as is a triumph for Tom Brady's Birmingham City and a host of other Championship sides.

The teams with the longest odds all compete in League Two, with Accrington, Barrow, Bromley, Cheltenham, Harrogate and Newport all priced at a whopping 2000/1 to complete the unlikeliest of FA Cup wins.
