International football acca & predictions: England to beat Albania

• England set to complete their perfect record with another comfortable victory over Albania

• Norway backed to secure their place at the World Cup with a famous win in Italy

• Portugal tipped to top the group - despite being without Cristiano Ronaldo

Ladbrokes is backing England to complete the perfect World Cup Qualification campaign with a win in Albania, with Ireland also tipped for victory.

The Three Lions made it seven wins from seven in Group K with a win over Serbia on Thursday night, and with Tuchel's side yet to concede a goal in Group K, one last win in Tirana could put the seal on a flawless campaign.

Elsewhere, Ireland travel to Hungary in a huge game in Group F, while Italy and Norway go head-to-head for an automatic place at next summer's World Cup.

With qualification for next summer's World Cup already safely in the bag, Thomas Tuchel could be forgiven for rotating his side and giving new players an opportunity to shine this week - but we're expecting him to pick a strong XI, and for England to complete the perfect qualifying campaign with another comfortable victory when they travel to Albania.

Another win and another clean sheet on Thursday night extended Thomas Tuchel's winning start (in competitive matches) to seven games, with it all kicking off back in March with a 2-0 win over Sunday's opponents. England are clear favourites going into the clash on Sunday, and given their untouchable form, we can only see one winner.

The action resumes in Group F as Ireland head to Hungary knowing a win would see them leapfrog their hosts and finish in second - or even qualify automatically for the 2026 World Cup, depending on other results. A famous victory over Portugal on Thursday has given them a great chance of progression, but a decisive match in Budapest stands in their way.

Hungary are in patchy form, and Ireland's back-to-back victories will give them real confidence of getting a result, but we're expecting a tight game to end all square. September's meeting between the two sides ended 2-2, with a dramatic late equaliser from Adam Idah saving a point for Ireland, and with so little to separate them throughout the qualifying campaign, we're predicting another draw here.

Another resounding victory on Thursday has Norway needing just one point to automatically qualify for the World Cup in USA, Canada and Mexico, but Italy's victory over Moldova means they're still well in with a chance themselves. Norway's superior goal difference means they have all but confirmed their spot at a first World Cup since 1998, and with Erling Haaland's form in front of goal, he's bound to have a huge say.

Norway haven't lost a game since October 2024, and 20 goals in their last three World Cup Qualification games highlights the ridiculous threat they carry - even against a stubborn Italian defence. Italy are in great form themselves, winning each of their last six matches, but with Norway so high on confidence, we're backing a famous away win in Italy to put the seal on an excellent qualifying campaign.

Rounding off this international football acca, we're backing Portugal to cruise past Armenia - even without the suspended Cristiano Ronaldo - and secure their place at the World Cup next summer. Ironically, Ronaldo may be hoping for another outcome, as automatic qualification could mean he misses their opening game (or two) at the tournament due to suspension, but they should be far too strong for Armenia regardless.

A surprising defeat in Ireland on Thursday threw a small spanner in the works for Roberto Martinez's side, but having thrashed Armenia 5-0 in the reverse fixture back in September, it's difficult to see the visitors putting up much of a fight. We're predicting a comfortable Portugal win and automatic qualification to another World Cup - which will (presumably) be Cristiano Ronaldo's last chance to win the elusive trophy.
