James Trafford next club odds: Newcastle and Spurs lead the race
Newcastle and Spurs are the favourites to sign James Trafford in January
Trafford is linked with a move away from Man City after playing second fiddle to Gianluigi Donnarumma
Chelsea, West Ham and Wolves are all outsiders for the goalkeeper's signature

Newcastle or Tottenham are the most likely destinations in the James Trafford next club odds, with the Manchester City goalkeeper potentially on the move this January.
Trafford, who returned to City in the summer after an impressive season at Burnley, has barely played since being usurped by Gianluigi Donnarumma as Pep Guardiola's starting No1 - leading to suggestions he could move in search of first-team minutes during the winter window.
Both Newcastle, who previously targeted Trafford, and Spurs are the favourites to land the England international, though even they appear to be long shots at 10/1, suggesting remaining at the Etihad is also on the cards.

Newcastle and Spurs lead the way
It feels unlikely that Trafford will ever become a mainstay in City's XI as long as Donnarumma is at the club, so it is surely only a matter of time before the 23-year-old moves on again.
Whether that happens this January appears to be the biggest question, according to the odds, with likeliest suitors Newcastle and Spurs still given just a 9.1% chance of signing the stopper during the winter window.
While both would surely be open to having Trafford as the club in the future, neither are in immediate need of a goalkeeper this season, with Nick Pope and Aaron Ramsdale battling for a place at Newcastle and Guglielmo Vicario remaining as Spurs' No1 - albeit there have been doubts over the Italian this season.
Remaining part of the squad at City until at least the end of the season feels more likely, although that could dramatically change as the window progresses.
Chelsea and Premier League strugglers among outsiders
Chelsea are one of the clubs next in line for Trafford, according to the bookies, with the Blues priced at 20/1 to sign Trafford as question marks remain over current No1 Robert Sanchez.
Premier League strugglers West Ham and Wolves have been given the same 20/1 price, though it remains to be seen whether Trafford would join two clubs who look destined for the Championship at this stage.
Slightly further back we have Aston Villa, Leeds and a return to Burnley, all of whom are given a 25/1 chance of landing the City man during the January window.
