Ladbrokes 1-2-Free: FA Cup fourth-round wins for Liverpool, Fulham & Arsenal

Published:

We're predicting FA Cup victories for Liverpool, Fulham and Arsenal as part of this weekend's Ladbrokes 1-2-Free promotion.

The FA Cup fourth round has drawn up some eye-catching ties, and the first of our three matches comes from Anfield as Liverpool host fellow Premier League side Brighton on Saturday night.

Sunday then sees Fulham travel to Championship promotion hopefuls Stoke City, with Marco Silva's Cottagers seeking a place in the fifth round of the FA Cup for a second consecutive season.

Our attention then turns to the Emirates, where joint-favourites Arsenal host League One strugglers - and 2013 FA Cup winners - Wigan Athletic, with the 4:30pm kick-off rounding out the day's action.

Right, now the rules are out of the way, Ladbrokes runs you through the three matches you have to predict for this week's 1-2-Free, giving our scoreline predictions for each.

The first of our three chosen games comes from Anfield on Saturday night, with Liverpool welcoming Brighton to Merseyside, and the Reds come into this one as firm favourites following their impressive win at Sunderland in midweek.

Brighton are now winless in five, with their last victory coming in the FA Cup third round at Old Trafford, and despite Liverpool's recent record in the competition being underwhelming, they'll be confident of progressing here.

With that in mind, we're backing the hosts to edge a narrow affair, with a 2-1 victory seeing them secure their place in the next round.

Next up is an intriguing fourth-round clash from the bet365 Stadium, where Stoke City and Fulham meet for the first time in four years.

Stoke's promotion aspirations have taken a huge blow in recent weeks, with the Potters now mid-table in the Championship following a six-game winless run, and it doesn't get any easier against Premier League Fulham.

However, the Cottagers have also seen their form dip in recent weeks, with four defeats in five derailing their European charge, so this one sees two teams in desperate need of a pick-me-up go head-to-head.

This makes for a really interesting match, but with Premier League quality throughout their squad, we're tipping Fulham to come out on top with a 3-1 victory.

Our final 1-2-Free game sees the joint-favourites take to the pitch, with Arsenal hosting Wigan at 16:30 GMT.

Wigan are far from comfortable in League One at the moment, with six defeats in seven seeing them plummet to 22nd, and coming up against the Premier League and FA Cup favourites, the Latics don't have anything to lose here.

All the pressure is on Arsenal, but with such strong squad depth and irresistible home form, we can't see the Gunners having any problems.

One defeat in 18 across all competitions isn't luck, and with Mikel Arteta's side proving so effective at both ends of the pitch, they won't have anything to worry about against Wigan - even if they heavily rotate their starting XI.

We're predicting a comfortable 4-0 win for Arsenal, who are still on track to win a famous quadruple at the end of the season.

Below are the three scorelines we're predicting for Liverpool vs Brighton, Stoke vs Fulham, and Arsenal vs Wigan as part of Ladbrokes' 1-2-Free this week:

  • Liverpool 2-1 Brighton & Hove Albion

  • Stoke City 1-3 Fulham

  • Arsenal 4-0 Wigan Athletic

For what it's worth, Ladbrokes also has an FA Cup fourth-round preview live on the site now, with scoreline predictions for each of the 16 games in football's oldest cup competition this weekend.
