Ladbrokes' daily World Cup & Wimbledon tip: England & Arthur Fery to reach semi-finals

England overcame a hostile atmosphere, testing conditions and going down to 10 men to record one of their best-ever World Cup wins against Mexico at the Azteca Stadium, and now they have genuine belief heading into their quarter-final against Norway.

Saturday's last-eight tie in Miami comes with its own challenges, not least the task of stopping prolific striker Erling Haaland, with another huge encounter awaiting the Three Lions as they continue their bid to win their first World Cup since 1966.

The 23-year-old is not ranked inside the top 100 as it stands but will now face Italian ninth-seed Cobolli on Wednesday looking to continue the fairytale - or 'Ferytale' as its now been dubbed.

Fery once again goes in as the underdog against the French Open runner-up, but the home crowd is sure to play a key role in his favour, while the Brit beat Copolli in their only other meeting at a Grand Slam in the first round of the Australian Open this year.

Ladbrokes' odds of 21/10 for a Fery win suggest he has more than a chance of another victory - and we're backing him to repeat more heroics and become the first British Wimbledon semi-finalist since Cameron Norrie in 2022.
